Part 2Willow smiled, "yeah, that would be nice, I've lived in this town all my life, and yet I have no idea as to where I am." Willow had glanced around after Faith's proposal realizing she was very lost, and in a town only 25 square miles, that was pretty pathetic. She's going to think I'm an idiot, not knowing how to get around my own town, but those eye, what was I thinking?
"Well, I'm pretty new to town, so I don't know my way around, but, we could try to find our way back, or" Faith hesitated.
"Or what?" Willow asked hoping Faith's idea included spending more time together. What is she thinking, I saw that sparkle in her eyes, but even if I cared, she wouldn't like me, I'm completely out of her league. She could have any girl she wanted and I'm not in that category I'm sure, but she doesn't look like she'd go for a girl like Cordy, maybe one of the Goth girls I've seen in the hallways? Oh great I'm even babbling in my own head now, this is getting worse as opposed to better.
"Well, we could go to this coffee place I passed on my way through town from the bus station. They mentioned mochas in the window, I really like those, and well, would you like to join me for a few?" Faith shuffled her feet back and forth. Why am I so nervous?! I've gone out with girls before; I've asked girls out before, hell I've even fucked girls before. What's so special about this chick?
"Sounds great, I love mochas, and I really don't feel like going back to school," Willow found herself saying, but she had no idea where it came from, she loved school, but she didn't want to leave Faith. I guess maybe I'm a little attracted to her, I mean, she's pretty and very something, I don't know it's something I can't put my finger on. Why is she looking at me like that? What is she thinking? "Hey, what are you thinking, you have this silly smirk on your face."
Faith felt herself blushing at Red's statement. Hmm Red, I like the sound of that. "Oh nothing Red let's go," Faith took Willow's hand once again and pulled her in the direction of the coffee place. Why am I so glad about her saying yes, it's just coffee, and maybe I'll get to know her a little better? whoa, whoa, whoa, why am I thinking about getting to know her? Shouldn't I be thinking about what I'd like to be doing to her, not what I'd like to be learning about her? Something about her has bewitched me, what if she's some sort of demon trying to get me when my guard is down? Oh this may have been a bad idea. Willow smiled at Faith as she was pulled along, down the road, never taking her eyes off Faith's lovely body. Nah, that's not the smile of a demon, she's really just an amazing high school girl having a bad day.
"Red? That's a new nickname." I've only known her for 10 minutes and she's already given me a nickname, that's a good sign right? "I like it." Although, her handshake was kind of strong, what if she's some kind of demon? I mean, it's the middle of the day so she's obviously not a vampire, but what if she's something else? The hand that was holding Willow's gave a gentle squeeze as they neared the coffee shop. No way, who ever heard of a demon that drinks coffee? Or even one that goes out on dates before killing its victims, wait, did I just think date? This is not a date; this is just a couple of people that just met getting to know each other better. Face it Willow that's the definition of a date. Now all I want to know is why that doesn't scare me as much as it should?
