No, it's not. I'm sure the same power brokers that forced the Region issue here made sure that there wasn't an easy way around it.
I have heard that there is some software out there (probably not legal) that will allow computer DVD drives to play all regions but I haven't run across it myself (not that I've looked particularly hard). Michael
