As they were riding up in the elevator to the floor their rooms were 
on Joyce said i think we should call home and see if there is 
anything going on there that we need to be aware of.Buffy said thats 
a good idea lets do it after we put our stuff in our rooms.

Three minutes later they reached their rooms which were across the 
hall from each other and Willow and Joyce inserted the security card 
keys into the doorlock and then opened them up.Buffy who was carrying 
Willow's suitcase as well as her own followed Willow into the motel 
room but stopped instantly before she bumped into Willow who had 
stopped after seeing the two single beds that were several feet 
apart.Buffy said Willow why did you stop like that and Willow said 
because of the beds.Buffy said beds and she stepped out from behind 
Willow and looked around the room and thats when she saw the two 
single beds.Buffy said oh no there has to be some mix up let me go 
talk to mom.Buffy put the suitcases down and then she walked out of 
their motel room and knocked on the door to Joyce's motel room.Joyce 
answered the door and she said are you two ready to call home 
yet.Buffy said not yet because first we have to see about correcting 
a mistake that was made.Joyce said what kind of mistake.Buffy said 
they gave me and Willow a room with two single beds.Joyce said your 
kidding and Buffy said mom i would never kid about something like 
that.Joyce said hold on let me call downstairs and see if they have 
anymore rooms close by which has a queen or kingsize bed.

After talking to the check in lady and then a manager Joyce hung up 
the phone and she said I'm sorry Buffy but there are no other rooms 
available that have a queen or kingsize bed.Buffy said damn and then 
she looked over at the bed in her mother's motel room and she said 
Mom you wouldnt be willingly to switch rooms would you.Joyce looked 
at Buffy and she said absolutely not there is no way i am giving up 
my kingsize bed for a single bed.Joyce said you and Willow will just 
have to sleep in seperate beds tonight.Buffy said mom and Joyce said 
dont you mom me young lady because my decision is final and now that 
i think of it it might be a good idea for you two to sleep seperately 
every once in a while.Buffy said damn and then she walked out of her 
mother's room and shut the door behind her.

When Buffy walked into the motel room she and Willow were to share 
she said Willow i have some bad news for you.Willow said what is 
it.Buffy said we are going to have to sleep in seperate beds tonight 
because the motel doesnt have any more rooms with king or queensize 
beds and mom wont switch rooms with us either.Willow said Buffy we 
dont need another room and we can still sleep together.Buffy said 
Willow the two of us sleeping in a small single bed will be almost 
impossible especially if we want to do something besides sleep.Willow 
said Buffy we have a kingsize bed.Buffy turned and looked at Willow 
and she saw that Willow was laying in the middle of a kingsize 
bed.Buffy said Willow how did you do it.Willow said i just removed 
the lamp table from between the beds and then moved the two beds 
together.Buffy said damn why didnt i think of that and Willow said i 
dont know.

Willow said hey lets go over to your mother's room and call 
home.Buffy said ok and they walked out of the room after Willow 
picked up the card key for the door to their motel room.Willow 
knocked on the door and Joyce let them in a few moments later.Willow 
said Joyce are you ready to call home and check in with Giles and the 
others.Joyce said yes i am so lets get it over with.

Buffy,Joyce,and Willow walked over to the bed and sat down on 
it.Joyce picked up the phone and after getting an outside line she 
dialed the number for the estate.On the fifth ring Xander answered 
the phone and he said Guardian estate Xander Harris speaking.Joyce 
said Xander its me Joyce.Xander said hey how are you,Buffy,and Willow 
doing i hope you are enjoying your time away from Sunnydale.Joyce 
said we are enjoying ourselves quite nicely but how is it back on the 
home front.Xander said its been pretty quiet just like it was before 
you left.Joyce said i guess the vampires and demons are serious about 
policing their own communities and punishing ones that cause trouble 
or try to break the peace.Xander said oh they are definitely serious 
about it because they tied a vampire to one of the cement columms 
outside the new Sunnydale high and left him to die by exposure to 
sunlight.Joyce said how do you know that and Xander said i came upon 
them doing it on my home from work one night and they told me what 
they were going to do to him and why they were doing it.

Joyce said well i am glad to hear its still peacefull in Sunnydale 
but how is Anya by the way is her pregancy coming along 
normally.Xander said Anya is fine although every couple days she has 
a bit of morning sickness still.Xander said we went to the doctor 
this morning and the doctor examining her gave her a fine bill of 
health and he also had a sonogram performed.Joyce said what is it a 
boy or a girl.Xander smiled and he said its a girl and i know she is 
going to be just as beautifull as her mother.Joyce said well tell 
Anya congradulations and make sure she gets plenty of rest.Xander 
said well i will do my best but i have had a hard time keeping Amy 
and Tara from bothering her every so often discussing possible names 
for our daughter that sounds good with Harris.

Joyce said well i will keep them from bothering her when we get 
there tommorrow and by the way we are spending the night at the 
Sheraton Arms in Los Angeles and she told him the phone number frothe 
motel and their room numbers and gave him instructions to pass the 
information onto Giles and the others in case they need to contact 
them tonight.
