do not belong to me I?m just taking out for a ride through my twisted 
imagination, Adrienne Mackenzie Prince-Kent is mine.

Rating: For now PG-13 to R depending on your point of view.

Summary: In the DCU eighteen years ago during a battle with Darksied, a 
strange and mysterious anomaly occurred , unleashed by an experiment by 
Julian September at a critical time and out of this anomaly was born a child 
to two of the most powerful heroes of the JLA, now attending UC Sunnydale, 
she will become the Slayers greatest ally.

Author?s Note: This is really more of a Faith/Other romance with 
Buffy/Willow pairing as well. Faith redeemed herself and is still part of 
the Scoobies in my story. Also I?ve messed with the timeline on a lot of 
stuff. Joyce Summers lives!!!

Previously on Kryptonite

She wasn't quite ready to choose whose proud emblem to incorporate into her 
uniform, if either.

"You know," she paused, "it just hit me, I've got a date."

Laughing suddenly she moved in a blur to Babs wheelchair whirling around as 
they both laughed. That was a good thing to hear, it had been too long, 
idly Adrienne wondered if there was someone other than Dick in Barbara's 
life.

"Don't forget, your dad's visiting too," Babs reminded her.

'Oh man,' she thought, "Lois is gonna grill Faith, oh is she in for a 
surprise."

"Maybe you should warn her."

"Nah, Faith can handle it."

"I wasn't talking about Faith," Barbara reiterated.

Winking Adrienne said, "I know."

Arriving at her dorm room Adrienne quietly slipped in through the window 
making as little noise as possible so as not to wake the sleeping Faith.

Entering the bathroom she changed and brushed her teeth when a small spasm 
of pain hit her.

Breathing hard she felt it recede which was a good thing, but it didn't bode 
well for tommorrow. This was just a predecessor to a very huge attack, 
something she hadn't had since the first day back from the Fortress. It was 
that attack that had stopped her from reaching Doomsday and her father in 
time.

Her one shot at helping turned into a nightmare.

Part of the reason she hadn't ever gotten completely involved in the hero 
game. Sure she help Oracle out once in a while, but she never did the 
missions. Until she had met the Scoobies she had lost all her faith that 
what they were fighting for was acheivable.

Who know that in a rag tag group of world savers she would once again find 
Faith, her Faith.

She had been in too long she had to go and get some sleep. And as much as 
she would love to nestle against Faith now was not the time, but maybe later 
when she knew that they were both ready.

Yep, time enough for that later.


Now on Kryptonite.....


Earlier that night had been filled with revelations, and neither women were 
quite sure how to precede. Sure they both knew what they?d like to do now, 
but weren?t sure how the other would take to being pounced on and ravished.

Mirrored thoughts ran through their heads as Buffy and Willow lay together 
on Buffy?s bed.

That afternoon had come as quite a shock. Willow and Tara had broken up 
sometime before the group had found out about Adrienne?s powers. No one 
talked about it, in a way Willow had handled it far better than she had Oz?s 
departure. It had hurt the redhead, but she dealt with it by emersing 
herself into both her studies and in research.

Now as the events of that afternoon which had lead up to the two realizing 
what they had in front of them. A simple stroll through campus, both 
consciously aware of the couples sharing in public affection, both wishing 
it was them.

A hushed whisper from some of the guy walking by, Buffy had thought that 
with her Slayer hearing she had been the only on to hear them say that the 
entire campus already considered them a couple. Buffy had forgotten that 
the hall they were in echoed even the slightest whisper.

Needless to say, she was caught off guard when Willow suddenly let go of her 
hand and apologetically told Buffy that she had to go do something. For the 
first time Buffy was so dumbfounded she simply stood there for a few seconds 
before she ran after Willow.

When she had caught up to her friend, Buffy found her leaning against a wall 
hugging herself. She could tell that Willow must be fighting tears but she 
wasn?t sure why.

Had she heard them? And if so why would that bother her unless?.hope flared 
in Buffy?s heart.

?Willow?? she called out softly placing both hands on Willow?s shoulders.

Willow tensed berating herself for vainly hoping that for once Buffy would 
get a clue and let her get away. Taking a deep breath she moved away and 
turned to face her hearts desire.

?Willow, what?s wrong? Why did you just run off like that??

?Please Buffy, just let me deal with this.?

?Not until you tell me what ?this? is exactly. You?ve been fine for weeks 
and then all of a sudden,? she sighed, ?please don?t shut me out.?

?Buffy I?m fine, I just need to let go of some stuff, it it?s complicated 
right now. I just really want to be alone right now,? she said not meeting 
her eyes.

?Was it what they said,? Buffy asked suddenly unsure, ?about us??

Gasping Willow?s eyes widened as she looked up, ?Don?t worry Buffy, I?ll fix 
it. I?ll find a way to make sure they don?t, oh Goddess, Buffy I?m sorry I 
had no idea,? she choked back a sob.

?Would it be so bad?? the words slipped out before she could stop them.

?What??

?To be with me, would it be so bad?? she asked plowing head first.

?But Buffy, you?re not??

?Says who? What I have to sign up for a membership card somewhere??

?But you can?t, even if,? she paused.

?Why not??

?The better question would be why would you,? Willow said softly as she 
turned away.

Turning Willow so that they faced each other Buffy answered.

"Why would I? Willow, who in their right mind wouldn't. You have no idea 
just how special you really are. We tell you so many times but you just 
don't believe it."

?Because out of everyone I know you?re the only one who has ever given me 
what I?ve wanted most, without being asked to,? she held Willow close, ?you 
loved me, unconditionally.?

Willow blushed, she loved Buffy, and for the past few years especially after 
the appearance of Vamp-Willow she had faced what she buried deep inside of 
her. So she was bi, she had loved Oz and still loved him in a way, she had 
even thought Percy was cute, in a self-centered sort of way, but that was 
before he had shown his bigoted colors.

?Willow?? Buffy asked softly, Willow?s silence was unnerving.

Making sure they had eye contact she continued, "I do love you, Willow you 
are so very much the reason I keep going. The fighting, duty, everything is 
worthless to me without you."

"You do?"

"Yes, I'm in love with you silly."

"Oh Buffy, I love you too, I've been in love with you for so long."

'So much wasted time,' Buffy thought sadly, 'well no more.'

"Lets go home, I'd rather we talked in private, just us."

Nodding Willow followed Buffy back to their dorm room, talking and sorting 
things out took some time, but in the end they came out stronger both in 
their friendship and their new found love.

?So,? Willow said breaking the silence, ?now what??

Grinning slyly Buffy slid her hand behind Willow?s neck bring her close 
enough for a kiss.

?Well, I for one would like to spend the rest of the night kissing you 
senseless,? she said hoping for a blush that was sure to grace Willow?s 
beautiful face.

Sure enough Willow?s face turned bright red.

?Buffy!?

Before she could even begin to protest Buffy covered Willow?s lips with her 
own. Soon the impromptu kiss turned heated as Buffy?s hand slid under 
Willow?s shirt touching the smooth hot skin underneath. Willow clutched at 
Buffy?s hair as the sensations of her soon to be lovers? hand assaulted her 
adding to the unexpected thrill of the kiss.

Never had she allowed herself to hope to ever discover the softness of 
Buffy?s lips on hers. Now she knew, and was desperately trying to catch up 
to her scattered thoughts; wanting to know much more of what being with 
Buffy, being loved, and so deeply in love with her she?d never know where 
she ended and Buffy began.

Buffy ended the kiss and placed her head in the crook of Willows? neck her 
hand still resting on Willow?s skin. Breathing hard the two simply held 
each other as they tried to gain control of themselves.

?Um, wow!? Willow breathed still slightly distracted by Buffy?s hand.

?Uh, yeah that was something,? Buffy answered not wanting to remove her hand 
but knowing that she better before it gained a mind of it?s own.

Reluctantly she moved her hand biting back a groan at the loss of contact.

Giggling suddenly Willow moved her head to look at Buffy. Curious Buffy 
grinned and waited for Willow to tell her what was funny. Finally calming 
down Willow looked at Buffy.

Well here we are, Clark Kent said stepping off the plane looking around at 
the airport runway.

?I can?t wait to see Adrienne,? Lois said, especially this Faith.

Looking at his wife Clark smirked knowing quite well who it was she really 
wanted to meet, not that he couldn?t say the same thing himself. Frankly it 
was about time his daughter had found someone, but it was his fatherly duty 
to think that no one was good enough, he bit back a chuckle, when he had 
held his baby girl he had thought he would be chasing away young male 
heroes.

?Hey there she is,? Lois called out waving to Adrienne who was waiting 
patiently for the two.

Smiling Adrienne took Lois?s suitcase and led them to a cab she had gotten 
that would take them to a hotel.

In the car Adrienne dodged Lois?s questions like a pro. Her father was 
holding back his laughter as Lois was loosing the battle.

Suddenly pinning her husband with a withering stare she said, ?Don?t think I 
don?t know that you?re laughing at me.?

?I wouldn?t dream of it,? he winked at his daughter.

Turning to Lois, Adrienne hugged her saying, ?I was taught by the best.?

?Sure whatever, even the journalist knows when to wait for a battle she can 
win.?

?I?d advise that this journalist keep everything she learns about the things 
that happen in Sunnydale confidential,? she said seriously.

?I still don?t get it,? Lois mused.

When she and Clark had been told by Diana about the things Adrienne had said 
about this place she still couldn?t wrap her mind around the concept of mass 
denial, to her it was mind boggling.

?Well, I suppose so,? she said reluctantly, ?unless there is a story here 
that won?t turn mass denial into..?

?Mass hysteria, I have complete faith,? she paused in the word, ?that you?ll 
find something.?

?Oh yeah like I don?t know what you?re thinking,? Lois smirked.

?Just for that,? Adrienne grinned, ?you get to patrol with her tomorrow 
night.?

?Why not tonight?? Clark asked.

?Well,? she drawled grinning and he was sure that she was blushing slightly, 
?cause after I introduce you all I?ll be going on a date.?

?Oh meeting the parents and going on the first date,? Lois teased.
----------------------

Later that day Adrienne stopped by the classes that she had missed in order 
to be at the airport on time. She picked up her assignments and mentally 
made a list of fellow students she needed to contact in order to get some 
notes.

Finishing she went to meet her parents at a café, the others were supposed 
to meet them there. When she arrived she found Joyce, Buffy, Dawn, and 
Willow talking to her father while Lois was taking notes about whatever 
Giles was talking about.

?I leave you alone for a few minutes,? she said walking up to the table they 
had chosen.

?He started it,? Lois joked smiling.

Simply raising her eyebrow Adrienne sat down.

?So where?s Anya and Xander??

?Anya stayed at the store, and Xander?s working,? Buffy answered.

Suddenly tilting her head Adrienne studied Buffy, there was something 
different she couldn?t put her finger on it but there was something. 
Shaking her head turned her attention to Willow who had turned away 
blushing.

?Oh yeah, something happened,? she thought.

She wasn?t oblivious to the fact that while they were sitting close to each 
other there was something different now from all of the other times.

Before they could begin a conversation everyone?s attention was caught by 
something behind Adrienne. Turning she was shocked to see Faith.

Faith was dressed in the tightest black leather pants anyone had ever seen 
her in, Adrienne had the sinking suspicion that she wasn?t even wearing any 
underwear. Sighing softly she knew that tonight was going to be difficult, 
hell these next few minutes will probably be hell.

Looking back to see Lois? reaction she didn?t miss her fathers smirk, the 
twinkling in his eye made her wonder is she was in for a ?Father Daughter 
Talk?, Lois on the other had was handling it better she looked at Adrienne 
and raised her eyebrow mouthing ?Faith??. Nodding her answer she turned 
back to Faith missing Lois turn to Clark with a knowing gleam in her eyes, 
they smiled at each other, realizing Faiths ploy.



Authors' Note: I hope it was worth the wait, the next one will probably take 
about the same time.
