OT: Early Buffy Eps.

The local Fox station has just begun running the earlier episodes of
BtVS, which means I finally get to see where all these great ideas came
from.

Now on Saturday night they ran "Welcome to the Hellmouth" which I
understand was the very first show. 

But the one they showed at 2:30 am Monday was called "Anne far from
home" now it looked like it was from the beginning of a different season
and I was wondering which season? And why is she living in a rundown
hotel in the bad part of some town that is not Sunnydale?

Keep in mind I never even heard of BtVS until I began reading FanFics,
and didn't start watching the show until like Dec. 99. 
The very first show I saw was "Hush", which IMHO was one of the best of
all the shows. At least of the ones I've seen so far. 

If y'all can help me get an idea where this is going I would appreciate
it.
