Betrayed

Willow leaned back in the tub trying to get comfortable in 
the warm water. Tears flowed down her face as she took a drink from 
the wine bottle trying to warm the empty place inside of her soul. 
The redhead idly added a bit more warm water to the tub while 
thinking of the single word that described her young life: Betrayed.

The first and foremost betrayal had been from her parents. 
Ira and Sheila Rosenberg had betrayed a child's trust in their 
parents. Vacations and business trips had always came first for them. 
When their only child had needed their love and support both had been 
figuratively and literally missing.

Then Xander had betrayed their friendship. He would ask her 
for advice, then promptly forget or ignore it completely. He hurt her 
again and again by chasing anything female: be it mummy, mantis, 
bitch or ex-demon. The final hurt had been when he kept putting down 
her magical abilities. 

After Xander, the next one to betray her was Oz. Oz had 
betrayed her trust. After talking to him a couple of times she 
realized she had been betrayed before that morning in the crypt. Oz 
had broken dates with her so he could meet with Miss She-wolf to 
supposedly learn about the wolf inside. All he learned, in all those 
hours, was her favorite position was doggy style.

Willow took another drink of the wine as her thoughts took 
her to Tara. Tara, the one person who Willow truly believed was her 
one true love. They had had a small fight and Willow had gone to calm 
down. When she returned a couple of hours later she found Tara in a 
passionate embrace with another girl. With her heart shattering at 
this betrayal she had calmly gathered her things and had gone to 
Buffy's.

Fate proved to be the ultimate betrayer because it had taken 
Buffy from her. Buffy had been there through all the other betrayals 
helping Willow to rise above them and mend her broken heart. Buffy 
had given Willow comfort, support and love never asking for anything 
in return. Just when Buffy and her had started to allow the 
attraction between them to grow into something more, Buffy had been 
killed. Buffy had defeated Glory but not before sustaining mortal 
wounds herself. Buffy had called Willow over to where she was lying 
and kissed the Wiccan with the last of her strength and love.

That had been two weeks ago. Everything was now in order and 
it was time to move on. As Willow relaxed into the warmth, a last 
thought drifted through her mind, "I'm coming to you My Love.. My 
Buffy". The silence was betrayed as a drop of Willow's blood fell 
from her wrist to the floor....
