Fic Sometimes We Forget

Note: I admit it. I wrote this in about 5 minutes. Its not very 
good but I couldn't get the idea out of my head.

Sometimes We Forget

We were all so surprised when Willow turned. But when I thought about 
it I wasn't so surprised anymore. I remembered all the things that 
the others had forgotten.

That Willow had vengenous in her bones.

Sometimes we forget that she was once offered the job as vengeance 
demon. MY job. The truth is I believed she would have made a good 
one. She has a knack for it.

She has a knack for planning. She is smart and sexy 
and......dangerous when she wants to be. Sometimes they forget that.

We see what we want to see. We all saw Willow as the good guy. The 
one who was our rock. We forgot that there was darkness inside of 
her. Darkness that we saw in brief glimpses but immediately forgot, 
for our own sanity.

Sometimes we forgot that Willow has baggage. Maybe more then most. 
We saw her strength but never her weakness. We saw that she had 
overcome her difficulties but never how much it took out of her. We 
saw her loyalty but never her obsession.

We didn't see her obsession until it was too late.

The others still don't see it, but I do. Maybe it is all the years I 
spent as a vengeance demon that makes me see it so clearly. Willow's 
obsession. Willow's need. Willow's love.

Sometimes we forget the way Willow was in the beginning. I wasn't 
there but I've heard the stories. Willow was on her way to being 
someone I might have gone to someday. Someone scorned by men. 
Someone scorned by life. Then Buffy came and Willow found a purpose.

Then she died and so did Willow's purpose.

She could never let that happen.

Sometimes we forget how much Willow needed Buffy.

Sometimes we forget what a person will do when they think they have 
something left to lose.

Sometime we forget how powerful Willow has become.

The others still believe we can save Willow. Sometimes I do to. But 
some things can not be changed. Somethings can never go back to the 
way they were. 

But sometimes we forget.
