No suckage at all, indeed a fine debut. Nice to get in Will's head and
feel the righteous anger, not the "look out, she's evil!" cartoonish
behavior we were subjected to in "Flooded". And I'm quite glad to see
Giles get his (sanctimonious git!).

Some Giles fans take his reactions to Buffy these last two eps as an
indication he has an idea about her actually being in heaven, not hell,
but given the no-punches-pulled tone of his savaging of Willow in
"Flooded", I have to disagree. If he thought it, he'd have said it
(loudly and rudely, apparently). And you did a good job of pointing up
that, if Giles believed Buffy to be in hell (which is where you might
rightly expect someone who jumped into a portal of a thousand hell
dimensions and came out a lifeless husk to be) he showed callous
unconcern by thrashing Willow so roughly for saving Buffy. The fact
that they're wrong in actuality (assuming Buffy isn't delusional about
"heaven") doesn't change the fact that, given what both Willow and Giles
believe to be true, which they have no reason to doubt, she's the one
who's right.

Also nice point about Giles's denseness over the summer. Doesn't say
much for Watcher-boy that the four scoobies pulled off this whole caper
without him getting a glimmer of a clue.

But I don't think that there was any indication that he had returned to
his Season 4 boozing habits. And I felt that Willow liked the BuffyBot.
Oh, and "When She Was Bad" shows that Willow isn't so conversant about
"Star Wars"--that's Xander's forte, not hers.

Still, minor complaints don't spoil a good fic. Let's see more.
