Thank you for your kind words for my first fic to the list. It's 
interesting to read your comments because, watching Flooded, and that 
exchange in particular, I took Giles' side in the exchange <while sharing 
sympathies for both POV's> but wrote the ficlet from Willow's POV because I 
hadn't heard much of it represented in what I'd read. I definitely don't see 
her as evil, <On a slippery slope towards it? Yes, but not evil yet by any 
stretch> but more as earnest, slightly myopic <as those in love often are> 
and frighteningly powerful <as those in love often aren't, thankfully>
As far as Giles' drinking goes, in my mind, he didn't actually fall back 
into the problem drinking we saw in season 4 <even when he had a MUCH better 
reason to> but only because everyone kept an eye on him, which is part of my 
explanation for some of the resentment I saw from Willow in the subtext that 
scene BEFORE she did the "Flatly Affected Voice of EVIL" <FAVE! for short (G)>
As to your other points, yeah, Willow liked the buffybot, but it was 
bittersweet, <her lover as a toy, made to order by said lover's stalker> not 
to mention time-consuming, what with maintenance, reprogramming. It was time 
and energy spent in a terrible time, when she'd have probably have been best 
served mourning. But, just my opinion, I'm probably wrong. 
Lastly, to me, the whole thing is just tragic... If Willow goes dark it's 
going to go the classic mad-scientist route with her starting off doing 
things for almost the best of reasons... 
The woman she loves is trapped in a certain hell <even if she couldn't 
FIND the hell in particular, which was my little add-on to set up the 
revelation later that it actually WAS Heaven, or the non-denominational 
existential equivalent> and no one is willing or able to address that. 
Oldest/best friend is mourning and preoccupied with his demon-chippy, little 
sister has to be protected and can't actually do anything anyway, mentor is 
wallowing in misery and paralyzed into a profound preoccupation of his navel, 
the only other well-informed friend is just getting over a sudden 
reintroduction to previously divinely deprived sanity, and the deluded 
vampire with chip <said stalker> is even LESS helpful AND on top of that, 
she'd just been elected scooby-leader... <Lemme ask you, did that summer just 
suck for them or what?>
Anyway... <as my fingers slowly stop cramping from typing> thanks again
