OT: I believe, I believe, I believe

I don't think there are any real season 6
spoilers in here, but I'm talking about the way
the season seems to be headed, so I'll put in a
bit of spoiler space just in case.

Now, this may be oversimplified a bit, or maybe a
lot; but my brain doesn't multitask very well.
My brother always says that there aren't really
any new ideas in fiction these days, just
slightly different or more creative ways of
telling the same story. So, I'm thinking the
Buffy/Willow rift is quite a lot like the
Xena/Gab rift that happened in that show. I'm of
course assuming a major portion of you watched
Xena, but that may not be the case (I know a lot
of Xena fans that watch Buffy fairly religiously,
though).

Anyway, in the end, that relationship experienced
forgiveness and repair--and was much stronger
after that as well. So, even though I have no
real clue what's going to happen with the
Buffy/Willow friendship, and comparing the Xena
series to Buffy is probably like comparing apples
to oranges, I'm starting to believe this is
somewhat the same story told in a different way.
If that's the case, then we just need to knuckle
down and suffer through the oncoming storm (and I
do think it'll get worse before it gets better),
and in the end everything will work out between
our favorite girls--'ship or no 'ship. Also, I
might add that everything came to a head in the
Xena series with a musical episode. Hmmm.

Like I said, maybe I'm a bit simplistic, but I
believe in the Buffy/Willow friendship being able
to withstand anything--and I'm only someone
that's seen maybe half the entire series!

Kris-who won't mind any simpleton jokes about me
living in a small midwestern town that has mainly
corn and Amish that still get around with horse
and buffy...er(freudian slip?), buggy.
