I know we're all supposed to be writing long, hyperanalytical feedback/critiques now but frankly, I have neither the time nor the inclination, I do enough critiquing of literature in real life to want to do any in my spare time. That being said, please allow me to gush profusely and perhaps drool on the rug as I sing the praises of Anne-Lise from the highest rooftop (which, from where I'm sitting appears to be the CN Tower down the street.)
Anne-Lise-- that was, er, um, urk. That was amazing. really, really amazing. It was, in the words of that crazy French girl down the hall supercool. With the pain and the dying and the terrible, terrible suffering, it brought tears to my cold, dead eyes. I think that's the bleakest fic I've seen on this list in months. MONTHS. There was no happy ending, no last minute relief, just miserable agony. And I loved it. Please, by all means, continue to write stories where nothing good ever happens to anyone, they're just great. You've outdarkened the darkest of us and for that I salute you.
Keep up the harrowing work,
HF
