Willow sat on the end of the bed feeling really unsure about everything that five minutes ago she was so sure of. How could two words bring everythingcrashing down around her? Two words that was now spinning uncontrollably in her head. Buffy frowned kneeling in front of her. " Willow did you hear me. I said ". Willow interrupted her. " Faiths back. I know I heard you". Buffy resumed pacing the floor. " Well it could be fun I mean we haven't seenher or Cordy for a while. It could be...fun". Buffy knew that even though she was saying the words they seemed to be being spoken by some one else.
Willow stood and tried to busy herself picking at a non-existent piece of cotton off her clothes. " Fun, yeah. So Faith's back whoopee. I mean I should really be happy that the first love of my girlfriend's life is coming back. Whoopee again". Buffy took hold of her. " Willow, you have nothing to worry about I mean Faith is living with Cordy in L.A and they are happy. And of course I don't want faith anymore, ever did. I mean I did but now I haveyou and nothing happened with me and Faith" Willow smiled unconvincingly. " Buffy, babble alert. I know nothing happened, I know Faith is with Cordelia. I know I love you so much I just". Buffy interrupted with a kiss.

Buffy and Willow entered Giles house and was welcomed by Xander and Anya who as usual was all over each other. " Come on guys, get a room" Said Buffy throwing a pillow at Xander. Giles followed the direction of the pillow andpicked it up off the floor. " Children. I'm cleaning up after children". "So what time is Faith and Cordy arriving" Said Xander has the door opened and Cordelia walked in like she had never been away. " Hi guys. Its good tosee the hellmouth hasn't changed. I'm exhausted. Giles you couldn't fix mea drink could you". Everyone watched as the same old Cordelia breezed in and without taking a breath had made her presence known. 
Faith walked in moments later and Willow let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. Everyone hugged. Willow couldn't help herself but scrutinize the hug Buffy and faith gave each other. She didn't know if it was herimagination but both seemed reluctant to pull away.
After catching up on events in the hellmouth Cordelia held onto Faith's hand. " Well sounds like it's been fun and games here. Which I might add is pretty out there considering it's never been fun or gamey in anyway when I was living here. Which brings our next news up. Me and Faith may be back herefor good". There was electricity in the silence that followed this statement. " Yeah this is where it begins" Thought Willow.

Three months later

Faith and Cordelia had found themselves an apartment close to Giles. Everyone seemed to welcome them back into the gang though Faith was sure that sometimes Willow could be a little off with her but when she asked Buffy aboutit, Buffy shrugged it off as nothing. Faith was sure it was more than nothing. She rode out the occasions and Willow would then become herself again.
" I'd better go do the slay thing" said Buffy. Faith stood " You want company. I mean I know it's not my night but I feel like kicking some ass". Buffy nodded "sounds good to me. I'll see you later Will". Willow watched the door even after it was shut and their voices had disappeared. 

Cordelia and Willow decided to get some beer in and wait for the slayers toreturn. Willow looked to Cordelia wondering how much she knew about the last time the slayers used to go kicking butt together. The more beer she hadthe more the easily she found it to relax. " So Cordy how did you and Faith get to together. I mean I would never of said you and Faith. Well you andFaith, see what I mean". Cordelia nodded. "Hey Red you can talk. I mean you and Buffy. But I know what you mean. Faith and me was talking one night and she was telling me about this big love she had for someone. But this someone wasn't interested. Thank god. Anyway I consoled her and it carried on from there. How about you and Buffy". Willow was still processing what Cordelia had said. " I got drunk and got in the wrong bed in our dorm. And wellthings happened from there. So who was Faith big bad love then? I mean shewasn't exactly reserved it could be anyone". Cordelia frowned thinking over this last sentence. " You know she would never tell. She'd just say it was some one in Sunnydale. But she's with me and that suits me fine". Willow looked at the clock. " Yeah its good to see you've grown Cordy. Say don't you think they should be back now". Cordelia got them both refills.

The cemetery was quiet and Buffy was aware of Faith's breathing. " So B. how did you get wilting Willow in the sack". Buffy was taken aback. " Faith. I can't believe you. Well I can, its good to see you really haven't changed. Willow isn't as wilting as you'd think. And she's very good in the sack for your information". Faith smiled " Lets hear it for Willow Yay". Buffy put a hand on Faith's arm and felt the electricity go through her. Finally she found her voice. "You know me and you have some things we didn't resolve". Faith frowned " really B. and what was that". " Well you know, the problem you had before going to L.A. the same problem that made you run to L.A". Before Buffy could say anymore Faith interrupted. " B that was then. I'm not as fucked up now. I have Cordy. And the truth is she's moved on. I've moved on". Buffy let the silence take away Faith's last words. Has she remembered it Faith was drinking a lot back then and no matter what she did Buffy always wanted her. But then she was to scared to tell her. To scared to tell anyone except Willow. She should never have told Willow that was a mistake. So she was in love with Faith. And Faith was in love with. Who was Faithin love with, she would never say a name just pine away. Buffy assumed it was she because she wanted it to be. Even after all this time she was stillassuming it was her. Maybe it was Cordy all along. Maybe it wasn't to get away from Buffy, but to follow Cordy.
Buffy watched Faith dust the vampires that jumped out of the freshly covered graves. 'No. She thought to herself. It wasn't Cordy it had to be me, allthe flirting, and the intimate little chats that never mentioned any names. It had to have been her.
Back at the house Willow and Cordelia was getting drunk when Faith and Buffy got in. Willow waited for faith to leave the room and followed her. " So it must have been busy. You know slaying tonight". Faith smiled to her. " No Red it wasn't. Look why don't you tell me what the problem is. I know there's something. No matter what B says". Willow frowned " oh. B says. Well Iknow about ...stuff. You know you and...well this big love thing". Faith'seyes widened. " What are you babbling about Red"? Willow was obviously feeling a little uncomfortable. " Look I know about your intimate little chatswith Buffy before you left for L.A and I want to know if you feel the same". Faith blushed and couldn't believe herself and she never blushed. " So Bknew then. I really thought I'd hidden it well. I'm sorry Willow I should have said. I didn't realize B figured it out. " Willow moved to stand closer to Faith. " So what do you think " asked Faith. "? I think Buffy is with me now and that's about it". Faith nodded. " So your not interested in me then. I knew you wouldn't. I really hoped Buffy wouldn't say anything even if she kind of realized I was mad for you Willow. I still am". Willow was stunned into silence. Faith leaned into her and the kiss that started slow became passionate, hungry. Willow responded. " Hay are you guys lost where's the drinks" yelled Buffy. Faith and willow jumped to opposite ends of the kitchen as Buffy entered smiling towards them. " Are you two all right, you look flustered or something"? "We're fine" " Five by five". Came both replies. They looked to each other and quickly turned back to Buffy.
