Carol, 

I told you how much I loved chapter 1 on Sapphic Slayer and I'm glad you
put the fic on this list, too. If it's a prequel to your B/W/T it's
necessary, and I hope you get the positive response work of this caliber
deserves.

Besides, Joyce and Sheila clearly appear meant as B/W prototypes, and
Joyce in particular seems quite Buffyesque, so even if our girls aren't
in this one, they're there in spirit.

I continue to love how you work in RL historical figures to your tale.
Arthur Conan Doyle, physician to the Council, is a treat. (Was Joseph
Bell still alive in 1888?)

One small style quibble: I wish you hadn't given away the main plot in
your foreword. It's obvious enough in the fic to anyone who gets the
historical references, but I would have enjoyed knowing that there were
people who were just having the light dawn on them as events moved
forward.

And one continuty semi-glitch, in the person of Michael Rupert Giles.
In "Never Kill a Boy?" it's established that Giles's father was a
watcher and said father's MOTHER before him. So Watcherdom hasn't come
down the male Giles line, as implied here. Still, that doesn't mean
that there couldn't have been a Watching Giles in days past, so it's
very much a moot point.

Now that I know there will be a present-day sequel, that reference to
the 2010 prophecy is a neat bit of foreshadowing.

More, more, more! (I definitely want to see Prince Albert in this at
some point.) Loving this, glad you're posting it here, and thanks to
the absent koala for inspiration.
