Now about the story:
Visiting History by C.B. Moore (or Visiting History, I have a feeling 
that I've used both)
May 2001, I hadn't realised how long it has been. The story started 
first as a writing experiment with the origins of the slayer and a more 
scifi flavoured Buffyverse, and evolved into an alternative "saving 
Buffy" season five ending. I'm afraid that it suffered from "first 
story" issues, but isn't entirely dead. After posting the first few 
parts I started to write the next part (getting into the story proper); 
in the process I took a hard look at the style and quality and started 
a rewrite(which didn't take); (then another B/W story, alas stillborn); 
then, I'm afraid, another rewrite (perfectionism+lazyness kills). The 
good news is the later rewrite is actually happening (and putting down 
solid roots in season six), and since I've changed to a (hopefully) 
easier course it might keep happening.

Other excuses that spring to mind:

Honest, it's the other authors fault for writing such good stuff: if I 
never finish reading, I never start writing...

I'd better do someting about that 99% perspiration (I usually operate 
at about 99% inspiration)

Writing is one of my new year's resolutions, honest

Most of all glad you liked it, I had better write story, not reply...
