<<It's like my wildest dreams—they put an end to B/S, and the show is
good again. So simple I don't know why they didn't do it sooner.>>

That's exactly what I was thinking. One episode away from Captain Peroxide
and Buffy is the most herself that she's been all season. And RRK made a
point of stating that with Spike's line about it's nice seeing her happy.
Does he get the fact that it's because she's not with him anymore? Cause
Spike used to be smart, he should be able to figure it out.

<<Anya's line "I get to be with my best friend forever!" Since Anya has
never called Xander her best friend before, that line is probably there
to define how Kirshner and Marti view an ideal marriage. So people (ie
Buffy) should be with their best friend, huh? Much 'shipper joy.>>

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who noticed that. The line was
interesting, especially considering Willow was in the scene at the time.
Definitely seems like they wanted to play on the best friends and more
forever type play. Although it didn't help that Xander broke Anya's heart :(
But it was a good line, I picked it up right away and thought, Hmmmm, there
for a reason?

<<Cutting from "Sometimes two people bring each other nothing but pain" to
B/S. Thank you very much.>>

Oh yeah, that was probably the best thing I've seen in a while. The
Buffy/Spike scene itself was pretty annoying, the there was nothing subtle
about the way they cut from that line to them talking. I don't see a B/S
hook up in the near future, and that scene actually made me feel a bit better
about it. That's odd considering it wasn't nasty. But everything with them
up until now has been nasty, and they were in the sack together. So I'm
thinking everything for them is reverse, know what I mean LOL. It goes along
with Dan's No means Yes theory on them.

<<Xander/Willow hugs>>

It was nice seeing that, especially after the distance we've seen between
Xander and Willow this season, him always taking Anya's side against Willow
and the magic addiction. And it was great them referencing back to
'Homecoming' and the 'the fluke'. And RRK wasn't even on staff then, she was
using history that happened before she got there, gotta give her some brownie
points for that :)

<<Buffy/Willow touch (incredibly brief though it was).>>

For the first time in I think all season, I felt the connection a bit between
them. The scene of them in Buffy's bedroom with the dresses was cute,
something that reminded me o the high school days. Plus I loved how Buffy
said Will couldn't wear a tux cause they had to suffer through the bridesmaid
dress hell together :) And the conspiring together to stall the wedding
until Willow could find Xander was cute too.

<<B/W/D being a family at the end.>>

That was definitely nice. We've been seeing small little family bits all
season. But Buffy's been pretty much distant in all of them. This one was
nice, I felt a great connection between the three that has been really
lacking all season. Plus Buffy and Will were on the couch together, and not
that far apart either :D

<<Willow still being too much of a puppy around Tara (although I sense
they're setting up a fall there, so I'm not really worried).>>

Yeah that bugged me. Willow is supposed to be Xander's 'best man', and
instead of helping him she's making moon eyes at Tara. And Tara is doing it
right back. That's what bugged me even more. Tara reverted back to the
annoying 'Willow is my girlfriend' character that she was post 'Tabula Rasa'.
Of course the holier than thou Tara wasn't my favorite either, but still.

<<No mention of Giles, AGAIN. Can't he send a gift?>>

They could have just taken 30 seconds out to say that he missed his flight,
or that this particular gift was from him because something came up. It
really makes no sense that his absence wouldn't be mentioned at all, he
considers the three original scoobs like his own children. That one really
bugged me.

Anyway, I agree that the ep, while not one of my favorites entertainment
wise, seemed more like the Buffy I knew and loved. Lets just hope they can
keep on the right track.
