If you'd inked everyone else for two years, but just got him for one,
wouldn't it be prudent (and easy) to fib and say he'd be back, too?

Despite a certain skepticism, I think he'll be back, too.

While I was glad to see such a nice anti-B/S scene (residual hurt, but
no desire to go back to it), I do worry a little bit about how nice
Spike was. I understand they wanted to show that the breakup is good
for both of them, but he is still evil, folks. But maybe a surprise
dechipping can bring that out, after all.

Like B/X for every reason except that it leaves Willow out (no, will not
accept B/X and W/T). But a move to Buffy/human, Buffy/Scooby shippage
has to be good, right? If you want a friend, who better than your best
friend? Plus I still think that conquering his issues means working it
out with Anya, so I won't fret.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Anya (now Anyanka again) released the beast in
Spike, repented, regained her humanity, and then was hunted by what she
herself had unleashed? Sounds like a lovely way to for Xanya to
re-bond, and a nice trauma for Willow to help Buffy past, too. :)
