A minute later Lacroix picked up the phone and he said this had 
better be really important for it to interfere in my radio broadcast.
Xena said Lacroix someone or some group broke into the motel rooms 
Buffy and the others were staying in and took items which belong to 
them.Lacroix said i take it that they are quite unhappy about it and 
came to you and Gabrielle for help.Xena said i wish that is what they 
had done but since me and Gabrielle werent here when they came to our 
room they decided to handle it themselves.Lacroix said Xena you cant 
let them run around loose like this around the community.Xena said 
Lacroix i have no intention of letting them run loose but we need to 
be prepared for the consequences of what they might do.Lacroix said i 
dont understand.Xena said a message was left for them telling them to 
get out of Toronto before dusk tommorrow or they were dead and their 
weapons were stolen.Lacroix said i dont know who would have 
threatened them but whoever he or they are they cant be that bad 
since they took their weapons from them.Xena said Lacroix not only 
did the guns get taken but Buffy and Willow's swords as well and 
Willow placed a tracer spell on the swords.Lacroix said if that is 
the case they will be able to find the ones responsible quite 
easily.Xena said yes they will and from what i read of the note they 
left i have to believe that they assume that it was nightwalkers who 
broke into their motel rooms.Lacroix said they have no reason to 
believe such a thing.Xena said well I'm not so sure why they think it 
was nightwalkers but if Willow and Angel are in agreement with them 
it must be some damaging evidence which we arent party to.Lacroix 
said i will do what i can but you and Gabrielle get them under wraps 
as soon as you can.

When Buffy and the others got about five feet from the building's 
entrance they stopped and waited to catch their breath and discuss 
how they should enter the building.Angel said Buffy you and Willow 
should go in first with me standing by as backup while Cordelia and 
Faith watch our backs.Buffy and Willow both chambered a round in both 
of the H&K mp5's they had.At the count of five Buffy and Willow ran 
to the door and made their way inside.They immedietly moved to 
opposite sides of the hall and positioned themselves against the 
walls.Willow and Buffy slid the visors and gas mask combos into place 
since it was totally dark inside.After scanning the hallway Buffy 
said Angel you and the others come inside.Angel,Cordelia,and Faith 
entered the building and Angel said have either of you seen 
anything.Willow said no we havent and Buffy said but i do sense 
several nightwalkers but they are further back in the building.Faith 
said well thats most likely where we will find our stuff.Willow said 
actually me and Buffy's swords are upstairs about two floors up so 
thats probably where the rest of our stuff is as well.Angel said lets 
go get our stuff and get out of here unnoticed if we can.Faith said 
you mean for us to just let them get away unpunished after what they 
did.Angel said we should let Xena and the others punish them that way 
we wont have a problem with the community.Willow said that makes 
sense and we did come here to get our stuff back lets let other 
punish them for what they did.

They started making their way down the hall and when they got about 
twenty feet from the entrance they came upon a stairwell.Angel said i 
suggest we switch to shotguns because the mp5's wont be of much use 
to us when we are going up or down the stairs.They all pulled the 
shotguns out of the shotgun holsters and then started moving up the 
stairs.Buffy and Willow took the lead with Angel three steps behind 
them.Cordelia and Faith stayed half a flight behind them covering the 
floors below them.When they got to the door to the third floor Buffy 
and Willow took positions on either side of the stairwell.Willow 
peeked out first the way she was facing but she didnt see any sign of 
anyone.Buffy did the same a few seconds later and she said it looks 
clear to me and i dont sense any vampires except Angel close by.Buffy 
signalled Angel to come up to them and a second later he did.Angel 
said whats up.Buffy said it looks clear and i dont sense any vampires 
nearby except of course you.Angel looked at Willow and he said which 
way are the swords.Willow said to the right about a hundred feet.
Angel said Buffy just in case there is someone you cant sense I want 
both of you to cover each side of the hallway while me,Cordelia,and
Faith come up to join you two.Buffy and Willow said ok and then they 
slid out of the stairwell and moved several feet from it so they 
could better cover it.

As Cordelia,Faith,and Angel exited the stairwell Angel whistled 
slightly to get Buffy's attention.Buffy looked at Angel and she said 
it looks clear.Angel said go ahead and join Willow we will follow you 
but be carefull.Buffy walked over to Willow was and after a few 
moments she said come on lets move closer to the room our stuff is in.

Going slowly it took them about three minutes to get to the door to 
the room Willow said the swords were in.Angel told them to stop and 
they stopped where they were.Angel walked to the door and he looked 
it over carefully.Angel said it doesnt look to be bobytrapped or 
wired so lets go in but remember stay calm and completely alert.Buffy 
pushed the door open with the tip of her foot and then she looked 
into the room.Buffy saw that there was almost nothing in the room 
except for an old table.Buffy instantly spotted the her and Willow's 
sword were on top of an eight foot table that was in the center of 
the room.Buffy said come on lets get our stuff and then make our way 
for the exit.

Buffy,Willow,Faith,and Angel made their way into the room to 
retrieve their stuff while Cordelia stood guard at the door.Buffy and 
Willow quickly took off the holsters for the H&K mp5 and then the 
kevlar longcoats.Faith said hey what are you two doing.Buffy said we 
are putting on our old longcoats because they have a special sewn in 
pocket on the inside so we can transport our swords in without anyone 
knowing.Once they had the coats on they each got their swords and 
slid them into the coats inside pockets.They donned the holsters for 
the mp5 and Angel said hurry up and get the rest of your stuff so we 
can get out of here.Willow walked over to the end of the table and 
she picked up the case which contained the tranquilizer rifle.
Cordelia slid into the room and she hissed to get their attention.
They all turned to look at her and she said i think i just saw a 
shadow move out out of a hallway further down the hall.A moment later 
Buffy said i am sensing several vampires approaching this floor and 
there are two others already on the floor.Willow said hey i think we 
should have the tranquilizer guns loaded and ready in case we need 
them.Angel said but we dont have anything to knock them out.Willow 
said actually we do becaue me and Faith kept half a bottle of the 
curare solution.Angel said hurry up and fill some of the tranquilizer 
darts.Willow,Faith,and Cordelia quickly flipped up about twenty 
tranquilizer darts with the curare solution and then put ten in 
Faith's tranquilizer pistol and the other ten in the tranquilizer 
rifle.As they were ready to exit the room Faith said hey i think we 
should shake them up a bit by using a couple flashbang grenades to 
disorient them so we can have a better chance reaching the stairwell 
down there.Angel and Faith pulled the pins on four of the flash bang 
grenades and then tossed them down the hallway toward where Buffy 
said the vampires were hiding.There was four loud bangs and then 
Angel,Cordelia,and Faith started running to the stairwell and Buffy 
and Willow followed right behind them.When they got to the stairwell 
Angel said its a pretty safe bet the nightwalkers know we are here 
now so we have to be a lot more cautious as we make our way for the 
exit.
