RE: OT Question
I confess that I have no real idea of the difference between IDing
yourself as "lesbian" and as "gay", but Willow does seem to lean towards
the latter.
The "Doppelgangland" line (repeated in "Tabula Rasa"): "I think I'm
kinda gay."
Her "Triangle" defense: "Hello? Gay now!"
"Checkpoint" covers both: "We're lesbian, gay-type lovers."
"Tough Love" gives us the "Lesbo street cred" line
And in "Hell's Bells" it's "It's a good thing I realized I was gay"
So, I count 5 "gay" utterances, 1 "lesbian" and 1 "lesbo".
And the only character to say "yes, I am a lesbian" remains Riley, in
"Something Blue". (You go, Riley! Be proud!).
Buffy describes Willow as "gay" in "Gone" ("She's gay, but we don't
gay".)
Tara oddly, has never said anything more overt on her sexuality than
calling her and Willow "girlfriends" in "Checkpoint" and saying she's
"not much for the timber" in "All the Way". (Has Tara ever actually
said she loves Willow? I don't doubt she does, I just can't remember
her saying the word.)
Hope this helps.
