Re: US release dates.

The Season 2 discs, like the Season 1 ones, are coming out about a month
after the episodes finish their first airing on the weekend syndicated
repeats on local FOX stations. I would assume that this pattern will
continue, so Season 3 will probably appear about 22 weeks after June 11,
say in late November.

The rest of the world is ahead of us because they don't have syndicated
repeats to wait for. Once BBC2 or Australia's Seven Network shows a
season, Fox is free to send the DVDs there. OTOH, we'll have to wait
well into "Angel" Season 6 (or what would be it, if the show ends after
5), for us to get the "Angel" S1 DVDs. 2005 for that, I'm afraid.

As for importing DVDs, remember that your TV has to be able to play PAL
DVDs as well. It's much more difficult importing Aussie DVDs to
NTSC-land here than it is to watch Region 4s in the U.K. or other such
Region 2 country.

Besides, it's only Season 4. As for the good stuff (Seasons 1-3), well,
you did make high grade SP tapes the first time FX ran them, before they
switched from uncut to butchered, er, edited versions after
Thanksgiving, right? Right? Oh, well.

PS--if you were really on the ball (and here's where I goofed), you
taped "Fear, Itself" in the Halloween Marathon and "Something Blue" and
"Fool For Love" in the Thanksgiving one, instead of waiting for them to
come up in rotation, foolishly trusting that FX would do at least one
complete run of the eps before chopping them up. Still not happy about
that mistake.
