Your friend has much better luck than I do--every time I tout a show to
my dad, the ep that comes on is pretty lame, and if I don't actually get
a look from him, I can imagine it.  

Of course, "Anne" isn't generally considered to be "Buffy" 's finest
hour, so it's a tribute to the show's overall quality that it was still
able to hook you.

And I like the irony of a B/W fan being introduced to the show via one
of the two eps where Buffy and Willow never meet. ("Fool For Love" is
the other--well, also "Bargaining, Part 1", but Buffy is dead, after
all, and Sarah and Aly do have scenes together?) Which isn't to say
that "Anne" isn't 'shippy (where Xander spent the summer moping over
Cordelia, Willow spent it moping over Buffy--despite having a boyfriend
right there with her).
