thanks to dan & kira for the VR5 info... im not aware that it's ever been shown in the uk, but i'll keep an eye out.
dan- as has been established, it wasn't a vr5 shout-out, but merely the remnants of a plot thread that still exists to a certain extent (as you are about to find out), which changed somewhat from my original plans, as it got so complicated i couldnt follow what i had written *g*.
kira- living in the uk im already very familiar with jonathan creek, and was a big fan while they were still making episodes, and i would encourage anyone else to give it a try should they get the chance.

Episode 4 and a half 
 

Meanwhile, in an episode somewhere between episode four and episode five, the as-yet unnamed character who has been stalking Buffy in the shadows since the start of our story, is now yet again lurking outside Giles' residence. Yet again she is fiddling with a device she carries, and yet again she appears distraught that it is not functioning correctly. Enraged, she makes her way towards Giles' front door, but stops when she sees a man walking towards it.


Faith pulled Tara out of the doorway, and shut the door behind her. However, just as the pair started to move away to the door, it sprung open again, as if being kicked from the other side. Tara and Faith span around to see Giles at the door carrying a pair of suitcases. They span around again to see Giles standing up from the couch. They span around again just in time to see Giles drop the suitcases to the floor and stare at Giles. They span around again, and felt a bit dizzy so they sat down. Giles stared at Giles as a range of emotions flooded across their faces. Just as the other occupantsof the room were about to do or say something, the two ran at each other and met in the middle in a fierce hug. There was spontaneous cheering and applause, but as everyone looked around they couldn't see where the noise wascoming from, and it died down as abruptly as it had started. The only being in the room that seemed overly bothered by this was a fly sitting on the wall, who went by the name of Marvin. He decided that he couldn't take living in Sunnydale any longer, and in a desperate bid for freedom flew straight into the window and knocked himself out cold.

What's going to happen when our stalker reaches Giles' door?

Will she be the first person ever to actually knock?

And will Marvin ever find the happiness he deserves?
