Keith,

Fun little variant. Your sketches of Giles/Spike and Tara/Dawn were
funny, and of course Willow/"Emerald" is always fun. (But why didn't
they think they were twins?).

But the coupling that drew me was Buffy/Anya. Although Anya has fears
and insecurities, one of her strengths is that she believes in her own
feelings--she never doubts that she loves Xander or money or sex. I
can see how that would be very appealing to Buffy in her chaotic
emotional state. (Of course, the amnesiac "Joan" didn't have Buffy's
post-heaven trauma, but I can believe that enough of it remained in her
subconscious that Anya's self-belief was still very comforting.)

The highlight of the fic was definitely the appearance of the vampire
henchmen. Seeing the main plot of the actual ep casually dismissed by
VampWillow without batting an eyelash was a hoot, topped only by "[the
vampires] slowly moved away in the fast walk of people who aren't
running away, just finding something better to do." (Surrrre.) Heh.

So...when's part 2 coming?
