Well I had heard, or read somewhere, that it was the original intention to
kill Dawn in the season finale last year. Now personally I don't see how
that jives, because we had the whole 'Death is your gift' stuff back in
'Intervention' to set it up.
One thing I am wondering about though. The whole ritual to use the key was a
blood letting. Well earlier, in 'Blood Ties', Glory said that they Key could
be anything, a bicycle pump, a log, etc... So what would the blood letting
ritual have been like if the Key in fact had been a log? LOL
Anyway, I kinda have to disagree with the point about the Scoobies having
Zero guilt in bringing Buffy back. They didn't do it for the world, they did
it for themselves. Or more precisely, Willow brought her back. I don't know
if she thought for sure she was in hell and couldn't stand the thought of
Buffy spending eternity there. Or if she couldn't handle the thought of
spending the rest of her life without Buffy there with her. It never was
really explained all that well. Although in 'Tabula Rasa', Willow takes the
blame squarely on her shoulders, admitting that she didn't want to know if
Buffy was in heaven. She was selfish, in her own words. So yeah, I think
there needs to be some guilt on the Scoobies part. Willow brought her back
because she loved her, plain and simple.
And somehow I've managed to rant LOL
