Agreed on both counts. Chipper, quippy Buffy was back! That line to
Dawn about trying to add levity "but, okay, so no!" Loved that!

Yup, more bridging and filling. It's funny how I've finally gotten
used to and/or given in to the S6 "Buffy's So-Called Life" M.O. I
can't even be bothered to get upset anymore about the lack of
SUPERNATURAL ACTION on Buffy the VAMPIRE SLAYER.

Totally believable reaction to me. I've had it myself. You know you
really aren't compatible with someone, yet it irks you when that person
moves on. I'd say the feeling is something like jealousy, but it's not
exactly that.

> Speaking of the S/A sex. I honestly was really enjoying it.

Okay, I pretty much agree with everything you said, but I have to be
petty and mean and say that JM's hair was squickin me rightout.

Also, both that sequence and the Anya's On A Mission sequence should
have moved a lot more quickly. They needed more cuts between the
locales, I thought. Interestingly, Will was supposed to have a line
about being the bigger nerd (for cracking the Troika's system), and I
can't help but wonder why what must have been at least one more beat
got chopped.

Speaking of Will's nerdliness, I was digging her studding out on the
Mac. And when she did that tongue thing right before she busted a new
move on their system? sigh. I could almost overlook the Tara-present
blouse & pendant travesty.

Contrast that with Buffy's kickin flares with the cuts up the seams and
Slayer-mama boots! RAWR! Actually, as I let my mind wander, Buff &
Will could get some action out of the complementary *cough*slits*cough*
in their legwear.

Ho ho, but did you see *Anya's* look?? She cut her eyes at Spike! She
realised she'd been played (ooh, the double-cross), and she looked both
angry and hurt.

Oh, another petty thing. NB really has got to lose that weight! He
often sounds like he's having trouble breathing, and he definitely
doesn't have the pep of the entire rest of the cast.

I thought the best W/T scene was the very first one at UCS. Willow was
especially fun.

I don't know what it is, but...eh, AB isn't a very good foil for AH's
comedy, IMO, and if she has a long chunk of lines she tends to sound
like she's reciting. The kiss was okay (tho Will's cross to Tara was
awkward), but it seemed to JUST be getting to good when they cut away.
And, plus, Ay/S have waaaaaay more chemistry. Kinda sad.

Hated that! Of course, as often happens this season, I thought the
backyard scene should have been B/W instead of Buffy & Dawn. I had a
momentary flare of burning hatred for MT/Dawn. I still say MT is as
uneven an actor as there ever was, but I didn't mind her so much this
outing.

Okay, I haven't d/led clips or anything, but I have read some comments.
There is one thing I don't get:

> But it was nice how Willow picked up on Buffy's reaction to the

That's EXACTLY what I thought, too. Actually, it seemed like both Dawn
and Will knew something way back in some kitchen scene or another.
Can't remember which ep. Anyway, this time it seemed REALLY obvious
that Will knew something was very wrong: Her reaction was even bigger
than Dawn's. So what I don't get is this. How is it that in 'Seeing
Red' Will seems to be completely clueless until Tara tells her? Don't
get that.

> But combine that with the screwed up wildfeed something just isn't

Well, I don't know if there's so much a conspiracy of disinformation as
someone in the promo dept just plain screwed up. For some reason, a
number of print outlets didn't even have a blurb for 'Seeing Red'
until, like, a couple of days ago.

But, yeah, you're right that the VO for the promo is odd. I mean, what
is it that people are supposed to have heard?? I think the not-online-
but-still-into-gossip type people know that there's supposed to be a
Big Scooby Death, but not who it is. Well, there IS a BSD, so they're
not wrong. curious.
