OT: Unaired Buffy Pilot

Okay, I just had to come out of semi-lurkdom to comment on this.

While on one of my many boredom induced jaunts around the web, I found the 
Buffy pilot. Now, before this I hadn't read the script or anything, so I had 
no idea. For those who haven't seen it, the plot is a somewhat simplified 
version of 'Welcome to the Hellmouth'. But - and here's where I had a 
problem - there's almost no Buffy/Willow interaction, like in 'WttH' when 
Buffy stares after Willow when she's first introduced to her, or when she 
first approaches Willow 'for help getting caught up'.

I know pilots made to show the network aren't really a set in stone 
reflection of the show, but you'd think that they'd at least put something 
in that would show Willow and Buffy would be best friends. There was also 
more interaction between Buffy and Xander, but it was more sort of instantly 
friendly rather that Xander drooling all over her (personally, I kind of 
preferred that).

Anyone else who's seen this find the show's first attempts at vampire 
dusting funny?

(I should probably apologise for that comment. I'm sure the actress from the 
pilot is a lovely person and a great actor. I'm not dissing intentionally - 
it's just... really?)
