<<Amber Benson is added into the credits for episode
19....Now why, I ask, would Joss and ME do something
this cruel, hmmm? I know that not all of you are Tara
fans, because this is being posted in two rooms, but
Didn't Joss say he would never put someone in the
opening credits then immediately kill them off??>>

This has been bugging the hell out of me too. Why would they really put
Amber in the credits for the first time in the episode her character gets
killed in? Is it to be respectful of her? IF that's what they planned on it
being it certainly didn't go over well. Tara fans are pissed like I've never
seen. So I'm beginning to lean towards the side that they put her in there
to show that even though Tara is shot and killed, maybe Amber will be back.
They might be trying to reassure the fans by doing it. I think we really
won't know until A.) We see if she's in all the credits until the end of the
season or B.) We hear something definite about contracts.

Speaking of contracts......................

<<And do you KNOW for a FACT that Amber Benson is not
coming back next year?>>

All I know is that Amber has a option, a 13 episode one I believe, for next
season. All that really means is that she gets paid a certain amount of
money to stay availible in case ME wants to use her next season. That
doesn't mean that she'll be back. But the fact that she has that option
isn't bad news.

<<I think Willow being the big bad is kind of
interesting now that I think about it...I mean what is
worse than having to fight your souless boyfriend,
then being pitted against your best friend. >>

Well honestly it worries me. Because we saw how well the Angel thing ended
up. Their relationship was never the same from that point on. It's
definitely going to tear Buffy apart having to fight her best friend. And
I'm sure it's going to come to that. Willow is going to try and destroy the
world, Buffy and her ARE going to have a confrontation, no doubts there. And
I'm worried it's going to be nasty :(

<<And if it came down to
it, if they did get into a fight, Buffy would probably
let willow kill her..but that is my opinion>>

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I don't see that
happening. If worse comes to worse, Buffy will kill Willow. Because it's
not just her that Willow is trying to destroy, it's the entire world. And
granted back in 'Choices' Buffy was willing to trade the chance to save the
world for Willow, but that was before Dawn came about. And unfortunately,
Buffy's protective instincts are more focused on Dawn than Willow. Besides,
Willow was the innocent before, she's not now. If it just were a matter of
Willow killing Buffy and that's it, nothing more, than I'd be more inclined
to agree with you.

<<Anyways...we are forgetting a few main factors...where
is spike...is it true he got his chip removed..did he
really sire dawn when he returns...does giles come
back and slay dawn for buffy, while buffy kills spike>>

According the most reliable sources on the net, and from what you saw in
'Seeing Red', Spike leaves Sunnydale after his attempted rape of Buffy. He
spends at least eps 20 and 21 in Africa. Now there is debate whether or not
he is trying to get de-chipped or re-souled.

As for the siring of Dawn and Giles having to kill her, those have pretty
much been debunked. I'm actually pretty sure Spike is still in Africa at the
end of the season, he doesn't come back until next year.

<<You know Spike said it himself..The next best thing to
killing a slayer is fucking her...so does he love
her...honestly I do not think so...its just very
disgusting and i really never want to see them
together>>

You know I go back and forth on this one. But after seeing the scene in
'Seeing Red' I'm gonna have to say he doesn't. I don't care if 'NO' has
always meant yes before, she was fighting him off and he still kept coming.
He was trying to force her, he was trying to get her to come back to him. It
was all about Spike. That's certainly not my definition of love.

<<Someone replied back saying that the
writers wouldn't want to do that and lose the
heterosexual aspect of the show by making buffy gay>>

The thing is, the show has been using gay metaphors since the very beginning.
The whole Slayer secret identity has been one big gay metaphor. Joyce's
lines are probably the most blatant: "Have you tried not being a Slayer?",
"I've tried to march in the Slayer pride parade." Or Buffy's line in 'Dead
Man's Party' when Joyce confronted her; "You found out who I really was and
you couldn't deal". I think Dan said it before, but the entire class
probably thought she was gay for a while LOL

Besides, when one of your most popular couples is a lesbian one, I don't see
a huge hetero aspect to begin with. Xander is straight, Giles is straight,
Spike is straight, Anya and Dawn are too. Hell, just between Anya and Xander
they definitely had their het quota. So it's not about that. I think the
Tara/Will shippers are just freaked out about what's going on, and the fact
that they're killing Tara off. Let's face it, if Tara stays dead, they won't
make Willow head back to boys town, they aren't that stupid and cliche'd. So
Willow will be a lesbian all by her lonesome with no other same sex oriented
person to pair her with. Except for Buffy. Who's entire existant has been
compared to homosexuality. It's not that far of a stretch I don't think.

Anyway, I've really rambled on too LOL

after a shift at the Doublemeat."
