Re: ** **********?--Spoilers for Seeing Red

Ivy,

First of all, I'm sure your post was quite interesting (still 25 minutes
to air out here, so I haven't read it yet) and I certainly don't want
you to go back to lurker mode.

As for Spoilery-ness, well, I have to answer that

Well, a subject line that says "ME homophobic?" implies that there will
be things in this episode that would offend gays or lesbians. Since we
have two lesbian characters on the show, that would seem to rule out
blatant anti-gay sentiments, so someone could assume that your headline
was about Willow or Tara either doing something offensive, or having
something horrible happen to them.

While not specific, that would certainly serve to spoil the bliss of any
innocent Kitten who was tripping on the W/T reunion smoochies last ep.

And for the semi-spoiled, like me (unfortunately), it falls into the
clarifying category. I'd been hit with both the "Tara dies, Willow
evil" spoiler, and the "maybe she's not dead" counter-speculation. And
I honestly didn't know what was going to happen. (Although my money was
on the dying possibility.)

Then I saw your post. Well, you wouldn't be writing "ME homophobic?" if
Tara didn't die, would you? So that answers that question for me.

Just remember that those who don't want to be spoiled may have already
been so to some level, against their will. So while a vague mention may
only vaguely spoil the truly innocent, for those of us who are at the
"are the rumors true?" stage, a little hint like yours can read like a
big, honkin' "YES, DAMMIT, SHE'S DEAD!!!"

And really, there wasn't any reason to put that in the subject line.
Those who are going to read episode posts will read them all, and you
can raise the topic in the body of the post, below the Spoiler Space.

Thanks for reading, and please keep posting.

Dan
