They indeed took her out. Steve DeKnight said in an interview that they did 
it as a sort of thank you/tribute to her. I gotta say, I thought it was just 
plain tacky.

To my knowledge, SMG, Aly, Nicky, Michelle and James have contracts for next 
season. I know the question about Emma has come up quite often, and no one 
seems to know for a fact. Amber NEVER had a contract to my knowledge. She 
always had options that were picked up for a certain amount of episodes, 
somewhere around 16 I believe. To what I've heard, she has that option again 
for next season, but it's looking less likely that ME and UPN will pick it up 
this time like the last 2 seasons.
