Re: SPOILERS - Two to Go/Grave and beyond

Thanks, dude - that's probably where my source got their info, by the
sound of it.

If we're back to basics next season (meaning the core Scoobies
B/W/X), I'm not sure how a romantic relationship between any two of
them would work. Yes, obviously it'd be great to see Will and Buffy
romp each other silly - it's why we're on this list, after all.

But looking at it from a viewer's perspective, I think part of
getting back to basics is these three rebuilding their friendship -
S4 saw them drifting apart after high school, S5 all the rules went
out the window when they suddenly had a previously non-existent
sister, the death of Joyce and a rampaging hellgod to deal with -
they simply didn't have the time to put into their friendship, they
were all to stressed. Now in S6 all that has come to the fore - with
no major big bad to occupy their time (the nerd trio were reasonably
quiet and ineffectual for the first half of the series) things
started to fall apart. Whereas in the previous season no-one had the
time to deal, this season they just didn't know how to deal.

My guess? And please, do remember that 'flu medication is no friend
to clear thinking.....

Season 7 - Three Scoobs, rebuilding friendship. No romance. Working
out how they fit together and work as a team - filling the gaps for
those who aren't there any longer (Giles, Angel, Tara, etc).

And maybe (hopefully) Spike will be back, de-chipped, as the resident
Big Bad.......
