First, welcome. Second, I like this tale so far. 
Absolutely loved the conversation between Joyce and
six year old Buffy. I can't even IMAGINE discussing 
homosexuality with my kids when they were 6, but your
Joyce handled it very nicely. That's pretty much how
we explained it my kids (when they were a bit older!).
Not wrong, just different.

As Dan said earlier, the concept of BUffy always
having been gay is a dandy one, and I can't wait to
see where this goes.
