My Statements

Pt. 3

Willow looked down at the paper at her feet. [Weird, it looks
like?] The redhead bent down and retrieved the paper.

"My letter."

[Why did she go running form the dorm?] Willow slipped the letter
into her bag, clutching her schoolbooks tightly as she continued on
her way towards her lab partner's room.

Buffy watched as the clock digits clicked over to 8:59.
[One more minute before I have to start another joyfull shift at the
Double Meat.]

The blonde used these early morning reprises to try and figure her
life out. Many decisions had been made while she waited for her
alarm to go off signaling her day's beginning. Buffy looked at this
time as an escape, a chance to see if she could change anything for
the better, however, today seemed to just bring a blank to her tired
mind.

[Of all the times for me to actually not be able to concentrate, it
had to be now.] Buffy sighed and rolled over. [How am I supposed to
convince Willow to stay in my life if I can't even come up with
something semi-intelligent to say?]

Beep! Beep!

[Great. So much for taking advantage of my time.] Buffy wearily
climbed out of bed, heading towards the door, turning the alarm off
as she passed by on her way to the bathroom.

[I really hate that alarm; maybe I can go shopping with Dawn this
weekend for a new one? A smidgen of fun for the Summers girls!]

Buffy turned the knob for the bathroom door, but it was locked.

"Dawn!" Buffy let her head drop onto the door, barely noticing the
thud, or brief flash of pain that raced through her.

[Great. I have nothing to say to Willow, no way to run into her if
she really is avoiding me, and now I can look forward to an ice cold
shower.]

"What?" The door opened to reveal Dawn, who quickly moved out of the
way of a falling slayer. "You'd think that you being the slayer
would entitle you to some semblance of balance."

"I always thought that also, me having been a cheerleader would
help. And now a slayer you'd think that I would at least be able to
walk upright, or at the very minimum be able to lean against a wall
with out endangering others."

Buffy picked herself off of the floor. She opened the closet,
searching for her favorite green towel, for some reason Buffy always
seemed to prefer the green towel.

[Aha!] The blonde picked up the towel, spotting it in the very back
corner then carefully setting it on the counter to insure that it
wouldn't get wet.

"Why do you always get the towel? It's not the fluffiest." Buffy
turned back toward her sister, surprised that she was still standing
there, not to mention talking to her. After last night's dinner
Buffy had thought it would take at least two home cooked meals and a
sleep over at Janice's before she would be back in her sister's
graces.

"It reminds me off?"

[Those darling eyes, that haev always shown support.]

Dawn stepped back into the bathroom, leaning against the
wall. "Willow's eyes."

[Only my Willow has ever completely stood by me.]

Dawn looked away from her sister's intense gaze. "I guess it's
dumb." Buffy turned away to hide her embarrassed smile, turning the
faucet handle.

"It's not dumb. It's sweet." Neither girl moved for a minute. "You
better hurry or all the water will run cold."

"I would but?." Buffy looked at Dawn waiting for the younger girl to
get what she was saying. "Dawn." The youngest Summers looked at her
sister waiting for the declarations of sisterly love and vows of
protection to ring out.

"Yeah, I know I love you too. I just want you to be happy, and that
means Willow. So could you please tell her how you feel for her? Do
it for me please?"

"As comforting as that was to hear. Dawn you are a weird little girl
sometimes."

Dawn looked at Buffy in shock, beginning to wonder if the mist from
the shower was somehow affecting her sister's thought processes.

"No more hanging out with Spike for you, now could you please leave
so I can get undressed and in the shower ya little perv."

Dawn rolled her eyes as Buffy lightly pushed her out of the bathroom.

"It's not like I was looking or anything! We were having a
conversation!" Buffy shut the door. A shy smile on her face as Dawn
continued to rant outside the door.

Tara slowed her mad pace, gulping oxygen as she berated herself for
her rash actions.

[Next time. I need to think before I go running off on a wild
whim.] Tara stopped running completely. [Air is of the good.]

Her hands went to her knees supporting her as she bent forwards
trying to breathe in more deeply.

It was about that time that she noticed the pink shirt in her hand,
and the terry cloth robe that was brushing against her chin in the
breeze.

[Well. That explains the looks I was getting from some of the
people off the street.] Tara scouted the surrounding area, searching
for a place to put on the rest of her attire.

[Best place to go in and changed would be the gas station I suppose.]

The blonde tried to stroll as casually as she could through the doors
of the mini convienence store, of course there weren't man other
young women walking into anywhere with their bathrobe on.

"Do you have a bathroom?" The man behind the counter stared at her
for a moment before nodding. "C-could you tell me where it is?" The
tackily dressed man pointed with his hand at the back of the
store. "T-t- thank you." Tara scurried down the chip aisle hoping
that no one she knew had seen her little spree through the streets of
Sunnydale.

[Here it is again class time, and I am still thinking about what
happened this morning.]

Willow rearranged her different colored pens in attempts to
discourage her wandering mind. Willow had been passing through the
dorms, she had actually been trying to get by Tara's without the
blonde seeing her. Willow knew that Tara had a class around the time
she was supposed to be meeting her lab partner, she was fairly
confident that she could get by with out running into Tara. Hence
the whole: walking through teh dorm quickly decision. The Tara-
running-out-of-her-dorm-losing-papers-as-she-ran-by was different,
and certainly not expected.

[I wonder what caused her to-?]

Her last class of the day was gathering their book bags; packing away
their notebooks when Willow realized what might have upset Tara.

[My letter.]

Willow picked up her different colored pens, putting them in their
pocket on her book bag. Willow unzipped her backpack and was face to
face, err face to side with the envelope. The redhead snatched it
up, and for the first time questioning as to what is might have
seemed to say to Tara. Willow flipped it over. The seal was
unbroken.

[This is probably wrong of me to do, but I wrote the letter so I
should at least be able to read it. I can seal it right back, no one
would be the wiser. I can't give Tara mail that would upset her no
matter how much I?]

The redhead looked around the lecture hall to find it empty. Willow
cautiously opened the envelope, making sure to not tear it in any
form.

"What?!" Willow read the letter a second time. "This is wrong, and
not in the fraction of a fraction of a tiny bit funny." Willow
positioned her book bag easily on her back, letter still in hand as
she left the lecture hall.

[Why does Tara have my letter to Buffy? How could she possib- Oh
sweet goddess that means Buffy got my letter that was meant for
Tara! Astounding job Rosenberg! You have not only managed to mess up
the magic side of your life, now your well on your way to messing up
the Tara AND Buffy portion also!] Willow walked swiftly through the
parking lot.

[I have to get home and explain to Buffy about the letters.]
