Season Ending - Reply to Dan

I've been depressed since last week and last night
didn't get better. Will I watch next season? Probably
the first couple of episodes to see how they handle
Willow.

I'm already upset with the potential story line of
Spike having a soul. Been there, done that. Who
cares? Are the demons/Fates saying that Buffy will
love him now that he has his soul back? Ack! Dumb
and overworked already.

Marti and Joss said they were giving us what we
"need", not what we want. Got news for them, fans
don't turn into a show to get what they "need" or we'd
watch CNN 24-7. We "need" Willow destroyed, trust
totally broken? We "need" Spike with a soul? Not!

What we "need" is the hope that friendship and love
lasts. That friendship such as these can withstand
most anything without losing the basis of that
friendship - love. Did it come through with Xander
and Willow - yeah. Did it work for Willow and Buffy,
no. Buffy admitted to Giles that she barely noticed
Willow getting out of control and in the same episode
her "ephiny" is about Dawn and their future. Where
the hell is her concern for Willow? 

Willow needed and need friends - she found it in
Xander and, in a way, with Anya. Giles probably but
he's gone back into "father" mode with her and will
probably remain slightly detached. Sorry, Buffy
failed in this one again.

Ack - early morning ranting.
