Yeah, **I'm** hyperbolic, sure.
And if you don't know why gay and gay-friendly viewers might find the
unequal and stereotypical treatment of ALL the gay characters and ONLY
the gay characters on the show unpleasant, then you didn't read or
comprehend the initial post. Because whatever that post lacked, it
wasn't detail.
And I never said my opinion of Joss meant that he was in fact those
things. It is my opinion. Which I was clarifying, because in your
previous screed you had vilified me for saying Joss was homophobic. And
in objecting to your decision to attack me for saying things I didn't
say, I decided to restate what I was, in fact, saying.
Naturally, you couldn't be bothered to apologize for misrepresenting my
previous statements and moved right along to attacking my latest
statements. Because apparently it's wrong for me to have negative
opinions of Joss Whedon.
That I also disagree with.

Oh, and I'll gladly cut Spike the same breaks I cut Angel, once he
likewise spends centuries of remorse and torment attempting to make
amends for his deeds. However if Angelus had been the one to fall in
love with Buffy, I wouldn't support an Angel/Buffy pairing,
either--giving the souled vamp what the unsouled vamp wanted seems to
whitewash the evil vamp's acts. Very "oh, look, he may have killed
20,000 people, but he was capable of love, he just went about it the
wrong way." That does not appeal to me, since mass murderers getting
their hearts' desire seems an excessive reward, considering what they
were when the desire was formed.
Which is my opinion, should you be willing to let me have one.
Oh, and plenty of people see Spike as a hero and blame Buffy for the
rape. Or don't you actually talk to your fellow Spuffys?
