Tater, I too had a thought of Willow/Spike (which would please a certain
section of fandom, it's true). It's the hetero version of Willow/Faith,
with the two fallen children healing each other. (Difference being, W/F
have the history that would make the 'ship more interesting, but they
probably can't get Dushku for enough eps to do it.)

However, I'm thinking no, for two reasons:

. David Fury said Willow was still gay. For some reason, I can see
him lying to hide a W/X thing, which (in the story) would be
reconnecting with your true love regardless of gender, but not lying to
hide a hookup with a new man (or whatever Spike is, now) in her life.

. All that stuff that Spike said to the cheesy Lurking Demon about
wanting to change so he could "take care of [Buffy]", "give her what's
coming to her" and "give her what she deserves", all that seems to
pretty well foreshadow that, Spuffy 2.0 or not, Spike's story is pretty
well tied up with Buffy's. His soul was returned so that he can affect
her life. Dating Willow seems rather OT, there.

Also if Marti's reference to Willow's new love interest as "coming on"
later in the season means "someone not yet in the permanent cast", that
would DQ Spike as well. But Cas pointed out that Marti sometimes trips
over her tongue in these interviews, and she might simply have meant
"coming up" later in the season.

(Oh, and as to Kirayoshi's jibe at us for dissecting the interview so, I
would say that's where the fun is. Looking for clues in these teasers
is much more interesting than being the first on your block to know
Warren kills Tara; I find specific Spoilers incredibly dull. JMO.)

So I can see the Willow/Spike danger, but is it coming? I don't think
so.

I think the Willow/Spike thing is a no go. We all know how badly Xander took B/S and Anya/S, imagine how fucking ballistic Xander would go if W/S everhappened. Xander would dust Spike and piss on the ashes.

And I would cheer the Xand-man on.
