Dan, I really hope you're right and there is no Willow/Spike coming.
However, Marti was being all enthusiastic about Willow, and about Spike, and
for some reason, possibly this entire crappy season, Marti being
enthusiastic strikes terror in my heart.
And I don't mind Buffy/Spike, if Buffy pulls her head out of her ass and
admits to being with him by her own choice, not out of some weird weakness.
There was a time when the two had good chemistry between them.
Willow/Spike, have nothing in common to build a relationship on, and no real
chemistry.
