Okay, is that enough?
Good.
This report regarding Buffy in season seven comes to me via the Ain't It Cool
News site (www.aint-it-cool-news.com). Granted their advance spoilers tend
to be hit and miss, the site is an eyesore, and Harry Knowles, the site's
manager, is a World Class PUTZ, but sometimes they provide some interesting
tidbits. For instance;
The latest word from their sources for Buffy is that Mark Metcalf has signed
on to appear in a few eps next season. For those who don't remember, just
check out FX this week; Mark Metcalf played the first, and in some hearts the
best, Big Bad that Buffy ever faced, the Master.
Now, keep in mind that this could be Joss and Co. sending a false spoiler,
and the source didn't say whether Mark would be a major player next season,
or if he was even playing the Master again (they could write a new part for
him; Jeff Kober played both Krelik and Rack if you recall). Plus we don't
know for certain how reliable this source is. But given Joss's statements
that he was bringing the show back to its roots, bringing back one of Buffy's
best enemies does tend to fit.
I just hope that if the Master is indeed back they don't give him some
lame-ass explaination of his resurrection. Personally I'd bring back Rudolf
Martin as Dracula, but that's just me.
