Oh, no, sorry if misled you. I was referring to the editing of
previously-aired (several years previously) episodes in syndicated cable
repeats. The original airings on UPN are as unedited as anything anyone
in the world gets to see. Ours is the "master version" and Sky/BBC and
other foreign broadcasters edit as they see fit.

Which isn't to say that there aren't some pre-air edits here. There
were supposed to be several more seconds of B/S grinding at the end of
"Smashed" and I understand that Spike's original fantasy of this (in
"Out of My Mind") was similarly graphic. But generally there aren't a
lot of cuts, which has made this year's content kind of shocking, given
that half the country sees this show at 7:00 pm.
