Sara and Giles walked into the rec room to find everyone playing
pool and talking. Everyone except Willow who was standing to the side
staring at the floor. Sara noticed she was shaking despite the warm
fire that Gail had going in the fireplace. Sara walked around the bar
and grabbed a glass, she mixed a few herbs, and a small shot of
whiskey and filled the rest with O.J. She walked back around the bar
and handed the drink to Willow, " it will take some of the shakes
away", and walked back behind the bar and sat down.

"Ok, I am ready to start if everyone could have a seat, there
are a
few things I need to know", Sara said and watched everyone find a
seat facing her. She watched Willow and had to fight the urge to just
go over and wrap the red headed witch into a bear hug. `Damn she
looked so much like Josie' Sara thought taking her gaze off of
Willow, `I hope Jen can handle having her around'. She
looked once
again at Willow who was slowing drinking the OJ she had made. Willow
looked up and for a brief minute her green eyes met Sara's. Sara
felt her stomach drop and her face felt like it was on fire,
unfortantly Willow looked back at her lap before she saw the look in
Sara eyes. Sara decided she was going to have to put off trying to
figure out what she was feeling for a later date, because everyone
was looking waiting for her to talk.
" I am not going to beat around the bush here, I am assuming
you
are all here to help and I expect that I will have everyone
cooperation", Sara started and she looked directly at Buffy when
she
said it. "First there are some things I want to know about you
all,
Willow why am I here?
" Um, I, I um, I guess to help me", Willow said almost in a
whisper
and settled a little further in her seat, like she was trying to get
away.
"Why do you want me to help you", Sara was not going to
make this
easy.
" Because I have to get better", Willow replied.
" Do you want me to help", Sara asked.
Buffy jumped from her seat, she didn't like the way this woman
was
talking to her Willow " look she already answered that question
so
lay off of her".
Sara got up, walked around the bar and was standing toe to toe with
Buffy, " do you want Willow to get better".
" What the hell kind of question is that, of course I want her
to
get better" Buffy said not letting her gaze fall from Sara's
dark
brown eyes, she'd be damned if she was going to be intimidated.
"Good than sit down and let me do it, you understand that I am
the
only one who can fix this", with that Sara walked back to her
seat
behind the bar.
"Giles tell your slayer what will happen if I don't
succeed", Sara
said looking at Giles.
" Buffy, it was all I could do to keep the council out of this,
the
only reason they left it alone was that I had already called Sara.
Buffy you know what the council will do if they get a hold of
her",
Giles answered.
"Willow, do you want my help because you want to get better or
because they want you to get better", Sara waves her hands at the
gang sitting staring at Willow.
" Do I have a third choice of all of the above", Willow
asked giving
a half smile?
` Damn she is cute' Sara and Buffy thought both at the same
time.
" Ok I guess answer number three it is, than", Sara said
somewhat
softer, " I just need to know if you are doing this for yourself,
because it won't work if you do it for someone else. Have you
tried
suicide yet"?
"Yes", Willow answered.
"No", Buffy answered at the same time. " What, when,
were was I",
Buffy said looking at Willow.
"It was the night I asked you to call Giles, Buffy, I just
couldn't
take it anymore. I thought my life was over, I know that you all had
said that you had forgiven me but my mind just wouldn't let me
believe it", Willow than told everyone about that night minus the
stuff about Tara, she knew they weren't ready to hear that.
Sara sat and listen to Willow tell the gang about her attempt to
take her life and knew that Willow was leaving something out, but
decided that it was better left until they were alone. She apparently
didn't want them to know so she was going to trust that Willow
knew
her friends enough to know what they ought to know.
Sara also noticed that Buffy was becoming very upset the more
Willow spoke. Sara got up and walked around the bar ready to
intercept Buffy if she needed to.
" What the hell were you thinking, Will", Buffy screamed,
" What
would have happened if you had succeeded and Dawn had been the one to
find you like that".
"Buffy, that's just it I wasn't thinking, I?"
Willow started but
Buffy interrupted before she could finish.
" I know your sorry, damnit, Willow, but Dawn has been through
to
much already, having to find another mother figure dead in her house
would have killed her. Having to find Tara was bad enough".
Sara had been silent; some of the things Buffy was saying needed to
be said but when she mentioned Tara and saw the look Willow had on
her face, Sara knew she had enough. Sara jumped between Buffy and
Willow , facing Buffy, "Slayer, I have had enough of you. You
come
here saying you want to help because you love her, need her, but from
what I see?"
" Bitch, who the hell do you think you are telling me what I
think
or what I want or don't want", Buffy said stepping closer.
" From what I see", Sara continued ignoring what Buffy had
said, "
is someone who was screaming for help, needing someone to find her.
Buffy, she's lost and the only one who could find her right now
is
dead. This isn't about you or Dawn or any of you", Sara said
taking
in the rest of the gang who had just been silently taking in the two
arguing. " As far as me being a bitch, I am not here to win the
miss
Mary Sunshine award, I am here to help get her better. If you want to
beat up on anyone than here I am, go to it".
No one had notice the young red haired teenager who had been
standing at the door until she yelled, " MOM"!
