Re: OT fics?/Threesomes

I know I haven't posted in awhile, and I won't have a chapter for
my story up soon- I started a new job about a month ago andI'm
still settling in to life after college- but I wanted to weigh in on
this.

I love the B/W dynamic. I've also enjoyed the B/W/T dynamic,
when written well and in a convincing manner. But, they are
VERY different dynamics for me. I personally don't like B/T
cause I don't really see anything there. It seems like there needs
to be that extra Willow piece in there for B/T to work. But, when
bringing in Tara to B/W you completely change the dynamics-
there are times where I won't read a B/W/T fic right away cause
I'm not always fond of how the dynamic works. Many times I feel
like the author is constantly having each character make
declarations of love and there never seem to be the problems,
the difficulties, and angst that should come with three women
beginning a relationship. I'm never fully convinced that Willow
and Tara are together and then oh! suddenly Buffy realizes she
loves Willow, and hey, why not love Tara, too? I just think some
things get skipped over.

That said, I do enjoy some B/W/T. I've loved the Red Moon
Rising series since Hunter began posting it on
BuffyandWillowslash. I don't think people should stop writing
B/W/T by any means- if that's what you want to write, do so.
Perhaps a B/W/T list should be started, but I don't think that they
should stop posting here. The fics are mostly labeled when in
the subject line when they are B/W/T, or at least in the
disclaimers. So, we all have free will and skip over a story if we
don't want to read it; my guess is people do this anyway for
stories they're not interested in that are B/W. It's just as simple
for this and I don't think a big deal should be made about limiting
the number or B/W/T fics. I mean, these people are writing. I
think instead of complaining about the amount of B/W/T fics and
their authors, complain to the B/W authors who haven't been
posting (and I know I'm one of them) or write a B/W yourself.

That was longer than I'd planned, but I've said what I wanted.
