RE: OT Fics?/Threesomes

Well, we have been a busy list today, haven't we?

Thought I'd throw my two cents worth in on this topic (why not? I do with just about everything else).

Personally, I have no problem with threesome fics on this list, so long as they contain a B/W, and the relationship between the three parties is balanced. But given that (as Jude pointed out) this is such a busy list, not everyone may speak up and post their opinion, or even e-mail Dan to let him know what they think.  

Perhaps we should be democratic about it? Run a poll (or several, if necessary) to gauge what everyone is happy with and what they're not - and go with majority opinion. If most people express that they'd like to keep the list threesome-free, then we go with that. If more people are happy to include them, then we encourage those who don't wish to read them to make use of their "delete" key.

That said, I think the decision should apply to *all* threesome fics (couldn't help but notice that much of the negative stuff today has been B/W/T based, due to the somewhat unique dynamic the three of them have), not necessarily any one pairing. Bottom line, though, is that I'm happy to go along with majority decision, whatever that may be.

And of course, we always have the alternate options - as has been suggested, I agree wholeheartedly that more (lots more!) B/W fic is always a good thing. And I know that Jolie has debated closing down the Magikal Three listdue to the lack of B/W/T fics posted there - I'm sure any submissions would be more than welcome there...big hint to all the bards (what's one more list to post to, after all?)...

A few different people have mentioned that one issue with B/W/T is the factthat it seems like you have a strong W/T element, then Buffy just sort of gets included...as a thought, perhaps someone would like to write an AU fic(or epic - love those!), pairing B/W early on (say S2 or S3), building a strong dynamic between them, then introducing Tara later. Something I thought of a while back, but my muse and I are still having issues.... if anyoneelse wants to run with it, please do so. If anyone else already *has* runwith it, please tell me the title and where I can find it....
