A Halloween Challenge

Well, what with Halloween coming up soon, and the local Target store selling
Green Goblin and fireman costumes (two of this years favorites, I
understand), I decided to put down a Halloween themed challenge, a month
before the event to give you enough time to do it justice. The theme is;

Dio Di Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Main story; set it anytime, although present day would be preferable. On
Halloween, a supernatural force allows the spirits of the departed to
converse with the living, revealing secret truths and changing the lives of
our heroes and heroines.

The following criteria must be observed;

--Buffy must be at home, passing candy out to trick-or-treaters.

--Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles and Dawn must each be visited by a benevolent
ghost, preferably an established character. You may also use a malevolent
spirit, but that ghost must be chased away from the good ghost. Each of them
must be visited by a different ghost.

--Buffy may not be visited by Joyce, Willow may not be visited by Tara, and
Giles may not be visited by Jenny. Go for less than obvious matches.

--A vintage comic book must be mentioned, preferably one with some serious
resale value(Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearance of Spider-Man, for
example).

--The experience must somehow help to further reestablish a relationship
between Buffy and Willow, repairing the damage wrought by the end of Season
Six. Either restore their best-friend status or have them confess their
love, which ever works best for the story.

--Spike is not required for this story. If you MUST use Spike, have him do
something incredibly stupid that causes him to become dust-buster chow. Yes,
still feeling a little hostile toward William the Cheek-boned.

And in the spirit of the general who wouldn't send his men into battle if he
weren't there to lead them personally, I plan on writing a story to answer
this challenge myself sometime over the next week or so.

Kirayoshi
(anyone else notice that Jack Skellington from 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'
looks a lot like one of the Gentlemen from 'Hush'?)
