FIC:Learning to live Pt31

This part is short too but I hated to leave you all hanging for long.
Oh and I am not a doctor or a nurse so if any of this doesn't make
any sense I will say sorry ahead of time.

After what seemed like hours a grayed hair doctor walked into the
room, his face somber, "Miss Summers, Miss Steven, I'm Dr. Jones."
"How is she, Dr", Sara asked jumping from her seat.
"We were able to stabilize her. She has a leg injury that resulted in
massive blood loss. We almost lost her once. Miss Rosenburg also has
a concussion and some minor cuts and scrapes. We are prepping her for
surgery to repair the leg."
"The babies", Buffy asked not liking what she was hearing.
"Are fine. She was very lucky if she had been any farther along this
conversation would be going different. The blood loss was the worst
but we have it under control. The orthopedic surgeon assures me that
the leg can be fixed; she should have complete use of it again. It
will take a few and some therapy but should be good as new, well with
some work and a few pins and screws." The group let their breaths
that they had been holding in since the doctor had come in.
"Can we see her", Sara asked.
"Why don't you wait until the surgery is over? We have sedated now.
She should be in a room in a few hours, then you can all she her."
"Thank you Doctor", Buffy hugged the man.

Willow eyes flutter open and tried to take in her surroundings. "We
really have to stop meeting like this", came a voice from behind her.
"Tara", Willow asked turning to look at her former lover.
"Yup and I hate to say I told you so, sweetie, so but I did".
"Am I dead"?
"No you are just getting ready to go into surgery to fix you leg",
Tara told her.
"So why am I here again, baby. Not that it's not good to see you
again".
"The powers to be needed me to tell you something before you go back".
"Can I ask you something first".
"Anything".
"Are the babies ok"?
"Yes, they will be fine and so will you."
"Thank god. Tara One more question".
"Yes I am glad that you have Buffy and Sara in your life. I knew you
would move and I think you could not picked two better people."
"Tara I'm sorry".
"For what honey".
"For not being able to save you".
"I wasn't supposed to be saved. I have my place here. You have your
destiny there. I have to go soon. Willow I know this is going to
sound crazy and corny but you need to remember this, love concurs
all", Tara said as she faded out.

Willow woke up with a terrible headache and very thirsty. She moved
her head and noticed that she was not alone in the room. Buffy was
asleep in a chair on one side of her bed, Sara was asleep in a chair
on the other side. Xander, Anya, Jen, Dawn were asleep on the floor.
Giles was sleeping in a chair in the corner. Willow smiled at her
friends. She tried to sit up, she groaned as the pain shot up her
leg. Sara and Buffy both jumped at the sound.
"Welcome back, baby", Buffy said.
"Do you need anything", Sara asked and kissed her forehead.
"Water, would be good". Sara poured a glass and held it for Willow to
drink.
"Ok now are the babies fine", Willow asked.
"Yup" Buffy smiled.
"Good then it wasn't a dream. What about the leg".
"Again with yup. What wasn't a dream?" Willow told them about seeing
Tara and what she had told them. Sara and Buffy didn't know what to
make of it, they weren't so sure that it hadn't been a dream but
promised to look into it.
"So when can I get out of here".
"Not for at least a week. Then we will have to put a hospital bed in
the bedroom downstairs, you can't put any weight on it for at least
eight weeks. Then it will be a couple more months of rehabilitation.
You should be back to normal by the time the babies are born though",
Sara told her.
"Well that's anyway", Willow told her girlfriends.
"Willow, Buffy and I decided that your not allowed to scare us like
that again, got it."
"Yeah Will it took me to long to tell you the truth to lose you".
"I love you both too", Willow said and drifted back to sleep.
