Technically, though, the poll is about what should happen in Season 7,
and is based on the current situation. So a "yes" vote is an
endorsement of the relationship and all that happened in it, based on
the initial attraction. It's different than a "maybe", which is based
on Spike's ensoulment and looks at the possibility that the change in
him can overcome the events of "Seeing Red"--"yes" says that they
should be together just as they were, even with what happened in the
bathroom.

(I suppose what happened is that the S/B 'shippers, even those who base
their hopes for ReSpuffy on Spike's redemption via Lurky McDemon's House
of Souls, are choosing "yes" because it sounds more affirmative than
"maybe". Which is probably a flaw in the question, since they can't be
any stronger than "maybe" about SouledSpike, since all we've seen of him
is one second's worth of writhing at the end of the finale. Possibly
they should have focused the question more tightly on the attempted rape
and made the choices "their love can triumph over anything", "he's evil
and what sane woman could forget what he did", and "it depends if
getting his soul back has changed him". This would have mitigated the
desire of many Spuffers to simply forget that scene, and yoked the
question about a B/S future more tightly to the events of B/S past.)

who still has similar qualms about endorsing Season 7 B/W, even with
I'mJustAsGuilt-RiddenAsAngelWillow as a possible partner. (And I do
recognize the difference that Willow didn't do anything unspeakably evil
directed specifically at Buffy, but still the idea of Buffy cuddling up
to a murderer, however remorseful, is no more appealing to me than when
she was with Angel, who at least had the "I misplaced my soul" excuse.)
I choose a similar option to that of many Spuffers, and simply prefer to
end canon at "Normal Again".

Although I do have a couple of fanwanking ideas to get Warren's blood
off of Willow's hands...
