I don't know whether justice plays a part in discussing whether Willow's
actions were ethically right. Sure she has lots of reasons for killing
Warren. Some of them good ones. But all the reasons in the world doesn't
make torturing to death a human being right.
I recently watched a rerun of West Wing where president Bartlett had to
assasinate a visiting dignitary. In the end he had to do it because
there were some many reason for it, but it is still ethically wrong
despite the reasons.
If personal justice is all the justification we need for an act, then
how can you condemn any act. And sorry if this brings up a sore point,
but the tragedy of 9/11 would be justified with this point of view. The
terrorist are justified because they believe the U.S. bombing of muslim
countries is unjust. Which is bullshit, 2 wrongs don't make a right, one
would say.
