Sorry I took a couple of days to respond. 

First, I'm really glad to see you've worked around your disconnection
from the show. Even though you had the good sense to stop watching last
season, there are still any number of stories that can be told about
moments in previous seasons (to say nothing of out-and-out AUs). And I
enjoy the way you tell them.

Second, this was by no means pure fluff. Far too much angst and erotica
to qualify as that. (You want fluff, read the "Faith has poison ivy"
trifle I posted to some other lists after Eliza's appearance on
Letterman. Not that there's anything wrong with fluff.)

Third, interesting use of the present tense. At first it disoriented me
a little (it's usually used in more action-heavy fics), but then I saw
the point. The letter is about what Buffy thinks will happen "When You
Read This" and so we see Willow's reaction in the moment, just as Buffy
sees it. Neat.

Fourth, loved the concept that Buffy had promised never to run away
again. Missing scene from "Dead Man's Party", anyone?

Lastly, I enjoyed the sappy stuff. (Sap or mush is different from
fluff, btw. Fluff makes you go "ahhh", mush makes you go "awww".) From
the bit where Tara already knew that Willow loved Buffy to the moment
when Willow tells Buffy that "It's about love, Buffy, that's the
difference."

Awww. (See?)

More, please. (And no excuses now, since you just proved your last one
wrong <G>)
