Read the review and thanks for the chuckles.
I don't quite see the ending the same way you did. The ending was 
so remeniscent of Amends and the First Evil's attempts to drive 
Angel insane with Jenny Calendar that I see this as another possible 
visitation from the shrouded monk guys that kill christmas trees. 
That would even explain who left the talisman. So in this case I 
strongly disagree with the setting up of Buffy to be evil just as it 
was not really Jenny who was evil in Amends.
