Yeah, that was Cassandra (of Troy, also yes, but who bothers to differentiate
these days? lol) I wonder if the Hecuba of that story was the one who
Gabrielle's mother was named for on Xena...yeah okay could I get farther OT...
Cassiopeia was the mother of Andromeda and was thought to have been very vain
and self-obsessed, and it was her vanity that led Poseidon to destroy her
homeland and Andromeda was left as an offering to his sea monster, but she
was rescued by Perseus, the fellow who outwitted Medusa.
