WEll its my first Fan Fiction :) and not done by a long shot... so please be gentle. Feed back would be great...

Guaitiao*


This night was colder than normal. Much colder Nikki thought. Why am I out here any way? It's cold, I'm sleepy and.she stopped her train of thought when she heard a scream. She ran through the trees until she hit a small clearing. What she saw made her think twice about seeing a shrink. Suddenly a large man grabbed her from behind.

"Hey guys looks like we have another snack." the man said sarcastically.

One man was holding a red haired woman by the neck, while another was stillfighting a blond haired woman, and loosing badly. The man holding the red head smiled.

"I have always loved Latin food."

He dragged the red head with him while he walked directly in front of Nikki. That was when she noticed his fangs *GREAT* she thought *Vampires*

Nikki smirked at the tall form in front of her "Look, I'm no one's food, sodo me a favor and let me go."

The two vampires laughed. The blonde used deadly force against the vampire she was fighting. Suddenly he burst into dust. 

She shook her head and looked into the redhead's eyes and sent her thoughts*don't worry little Wiccan. *

Nikki closed her eyes for just a second , when she opened them they glowed.She smacked the guy holding her with the back of her head and flipped him over her. He hit the other vampire holding the redhead. Sending the redheadto the ground hitting her head on a rock. The two vampires were sent flying into stakes the blonde was holding in her hands preparing to attack. The two vampires instantly disappeared into dust. Nikki walked slowly over to the redhead, noticing her wound on her head.

"Unuuuuhhh, Ouch... how rude..." The redhead muttered as she was trying to get up. 

Nikki put her hand on the redheads shoulder urging her to lay down.

"Stay there, lets see how the head of your faired."

The blonde stood behind Nikki. Ready to go back into fight mode. Nikki smiled and looked over her should at her. 

"Relax, I'm not going to hurt your mate..."

With that she turned her attention back to the redhead. Nikki reached to her pouch and grabbed a few herbs, crushed them, and sprinkled them on the bleeding wound on the forehead of the red head. The herbs mixing with the blood started to glow a soft blue light, and the wound healed, leaving no trace of it. Nikki got up and held her hand out to the red headed young woman

"Thanks" She said as she stood up and felt her wound.

"No Problem, Just be a bit more careful." Nikki smiled

The blonde got close the girl and checked the girl's forehead not seeing a sign of the wound that was there minutes ago.

"Are you alright?" 

They were checking each other for damage control.

Nikki had silently left the two alone and hid in a large tree watching themboth carefully.

"Hey, Where did she go?" the redhead said confused.

"I don't know, but what I want to know is what did she put on your head wound to make it heal? Was it magick or what?" the blonde stood there completely confused to what had just happened.

Nikki watched intently as the red head held her pentacle.

"I don't know, but she didn't mean any harm... she..." 

The blonde looked at her "What?"

"She said mate?"

 

 

Nikki jumped down from the tree and went back to her apartment, thinking about the whole situation of what had happened back in the clearing. Upon arriving to her apartment she was greeted, more like pounced on, by her two cats. 

Both of them wanting in, attention and most of all FOOD! She laughed softlyas she opened the door and they ran straight into the apartment and began chasing each other around. She was tired and sleepy but knowing she had to feed them. If she didn't she was planning on getting hurt. 

Walking to the Kitchen reached for a can of there favorite food and grabbeda scoop of dry food as well. The minute she had reached for the canned food the two cats stopped in their tracks and came running into the kitchen. They looked up and had the look of "ATTACK MOMMY SHE HAS FOOD" 

" OH don't you two even think about." she placed their food on the floor next o them and grabbed a can of soup for herself. She heated up the soup andjust stared at it... 

" Yuck." she pushed it aside and went into the living room and laid down onthe couch and tried to go to sleep. Which took her most of the night. Whenshe woke up she look up at her clock, which read 7:00 AM. 

* Well at least I got two hours of sleep* she thought. She went and climbedinto the shower.

" I'm telling you Giles, I have NEVER seen something like that... I mean all she did was sprinkle these ... these odd herbs and ... well you can saw aftereffects. Willow's head is healed." Buffy walked about the shop. She looked down at her watch 7:30 am. 

" Buffy what did she look like" 

" Well she was dressed in jeans and had a leather jacket, dark brown...hair" 

" And she had a marking under her right eye " Both Giles and Buffy turned around to see Willow standing by the door. " I believe it's a native marking," she continued. 

"You said native? How do you know that?" Ask Giles. Willow looked up at himand moved to one side to reveal a small statue of a woman. She wore a forest green dress that seem to come out of the Salem witch trails except she made them look very modern and comfortable. " This is Natasha. A friend of mine I have known for some time." Willow answered before Giles or Buffy could say anything. " She is bit of an expert in this area." Natasha nodded herhead and walked towards the table, sat down, reached into her bag and pulled out a rather old looking book. She opened it up to a very colorful page.

" Mr. Giles, Ms. Summers Come and sit down. This may take a while." Willow was already seated next to Natasha. Buffy stared at Giles and then just shrugged her shoulders. Buffy sat down as Giles moved over to the pot of tea "I believe we are going to need this." Natasha smiled at him. " You may or you may need something stronger." 

As they began talking about the mystery woman, clues began to come up through the words that the strange woman had said to them " One thing that helpsus out about where she comes from is what she said to willow." Buffy shookher head " She said a lot of things." 

Natasha sipped her tea and smiled" Yes she did BUT she said " Little Wiccan" There are several tribes who protect Wiccan people, or shall I say true witches." Buffy and Willow looked at each and then Giles as he spoke up" Yes. Yes I have heard of them but it was always thought they were merely a rumor, myth nothing more. " Natasha placed her cup down on the table and looked Giles in the eyes with a soft smile on her face. " So were Vampires but we all know they are real. As are werewolves, demons and." Giles held up hishand. " Yes. I understand but that does not explain why she is here or whoshe is" Natasha nodded her head " I know, but I suspect she has been here for at least a year. maybe even two, not more then that." Suddenly the doorchime for the shop rang and Giles got up from his chair. " Pardon me Ladies but I have to tend the shop. I will be back shortly." As Giles left neither Buffy nor Willow mentioned the last few words that the native woman said to them, even though it was never far from their minds.MATE.

 

 

Nikki walked through the door to be greeted by an older man. " Ah Nikki it been a while since you have come by the shop. What can I do for you?" Nikkilaughed softly 

" It's been almost two months since I have been in." 

" It's been that long?" Giles asked

" Yeah it has. I was just wondering if that package I order when I was lastin came in?"

Giles began fumbling through some of his books. 

" Ah. yes I believe so. something with herbs correct?"

" Yup, running a bit low on them." Said Nikki

Giles turn towards the back wall looking through a few boxes when suddenly they both heard a loud clang. They both turn to see a large feline shaking off some dust from the shelf that had fallen. Nikki walked over and began picking up the books and noticed that a large crystal was broken. " Isis I swear I can't take you anywhere" Nikki whispered to her friend who just sat and purred at her. " Sorry about that. How much for the crystal?" Giles stood there aw struck, for the second time this morning he was surprised and it was only 8:30 am. He wondered what else would the day bring and realized her didn't hear her. " Umm OH the crystal. oh yes. its 35 dollars but." Nikki smiled 

" She broke it I'm going to ay for it" Looking down at Isis she smiled

" Girl you are going to cost me a fortune, you know that." She handed Gilesa fifty-dollar bill for the crystal and herbs. As he was handing her the change back Natasha walked out of the back room. " Giles are you alright we heard a loud." Natasha looked up and saw the woman that they were all talking about Yet Giles had no idea it was the same woman from the last night. Isis thought that this was the best moment for her to have some fun and playwith her friend's mind. She walked over to the young woman in the dress and began rubbing up against her. Being that Isis was bigger then the normal house cat she almost knocked Natasha over. Nikki was there to catch Natashajust as Isis though she would be. " You alright?" Nikki asked softly. " Yeah, umm thank you" Nikki helped her up just as Buffy and Willow walked out.Nikki turn and looked up at them " Well it looks like you two are doing okay. Now as for MS.?" " Umm my name is Natasha."

Nikki smiled" Well Natasha, I'm sorry for what Isis did. She has a bit of ahabit about doing things that she is not SUPPOSE too." With that last bit of the sentence Nikki Looked over at Isis who was sitting there just grooming away pretending that she had nothing to do with anything. Nikki Went to the counter and pick up her herbs. Looking at the crystal she know she wouldn't be able to use it but know of someone who could. She gave a look to Giles " Why don't you give the Crystal to Natasha. Se could use it more then I could. With that Nikki walked out of the MAGIC BOX, calling Isis to follow her. Isis Looked up at Natasha walked over to her nudged her one more time and then totted off after her master.

 

Natasha, Buffy, Willow and Giles watch as the large feline went off after her master. 

" Well I at least know who she is. She has been coming to my shop for abouta year now." Giles said softly He handed the crystal to Natasha. She held it in her hand and felt something familiar about it. " Where did this come from?" She asked him. 

Giles looked up at her " I believe a small island in the Caribbean, umm Puerto Rico if I am correct." He looked at the crystal and then back at her " Why if I may ask?" Natasha ignored his question and ask another " It wouldn't be up in the mountains would it?" 

Giles nodded a yes. " How did you know that?" Natasha looked over at willow.

" If she is here to protect you then there is something very bad coming ourway."
