Ok, here it is finally. I don't know when I'll get a chance to start on Restless, but I promise it will come.

Buffy woke up first the next morning. She couldn?t help but watch Willowsleep. ?I can?t believe I?m in HER bed with her in MY arms? she thought ?this has got to be a dream. If it is, I don?t want to wake up.? Not being able to resist, she kissed her lightly on the forehead. Willow woke with a start, but when she saw Buffy she grinned and snuggled closer.

?I want to wake up like this every morning? she said. ?I so wish we didn?t have to get out of bed.?

?I know sweetie, but we have a giant Frankenstein to take down, and we still don?t know how.?

?Frankenstein was the name of the scientist Buffy, not the monster. The monster didn?t really have a name.?

Buffy hit her girlfriend lightly with a pillow ?You know what I mean. Now, as much as I hate to do this, we should really call a scoobie meeting and brainstorm. There?s no telling how long we have before Adam makes his move. I?ll let you sleep while I get around, then when you?re getting up I?ll make the calls, k Will??

?Hm? Yeah, I?zzzz?

Buffy smiled and kissed her forehead again. ?I love you Willow Rosenberg.?

?Love ya too Buff Summs?

Meanwhile, Riley Finn was strapped in a chair in a secret lab beneath Lowell house, powerless to do anything while Adam lectured him about the flaws of humans and demons. ?Mother knew the role you would play all along. She knew that you would be fighting by my side in the end. You see, we are brothers after all.?

?What?s up with soldier boy there, he seems a bit stiffer than usual?? Spike said when he entered the lab.

?I activated his behavior modification chip.? Adam replied.

?Yeah, speaking of which, I did my part, broke his honey and the rest up,so now it?s time to get rid of mine.?

?Not just yet.?

?Hello? Paging Doctor OWEMEONE?
?I have the slayer how I want her, but not where I want her. I need her in the Initiative. She will insure that that enough demons die until she is to week to fight any further.?

?Well, as soon as she sees what?s on those disks I gave the witch...?

?The Witch??

?Uh, Willow. About so high, perky, good with math.?

?That would be one of the friends you separated her from would it not?

?Damn right I did. They won?t be talking to each other for a long... Isee your point.?

?Go, Fix things.?

Back in the dorm, Buffy picked up the phone to call Giles.

?Hello??

?It?s Buffy. When I got back to the dorm last night, Willow was able to get the disks decrypted. We have to make our move soon. You up for a meeting??

?I?m rather hungover, but I?ll grab a cold shower and pour some blackcoffee down my throat. My place at noon??

?Sounds good. I?ll tell Willow when she gets back from the shower.?

?So, things went well with everything?? Buffy blushed at the question

?Uh, I couldn?t find Riley, but he can take care of himself.?

?And what about Willow and Tara??

?We?ll discuss that later. Go get ready and we?ll be there at noon. Bye Giles?

?Bye Buffy.? Just then, there was a knock on the door. ?This can?tbe good? Buffy thought as she said ?Come in?

?Just stopped by to see if Red made any progress with the disks.?

?Spike, so the person I wanted to see!? Buffy greeted the vampire. ?Yeah, Willow was able to decrypt the disks. They decrypted themselves right after I got back here. We?re going to Giles? to discuss what we?re going to do.?

?Mind if I tag alone then, I?m out of Wheatabix again and really need the cash.?

?Actually, I do. Willow and Xander told me what you said to them. You?re working for him aren?t you? Well, not anymore? Before Spike could react, the stake was through his heart. Willow was greeted with the sight of him turning to dust as she entered the dorm.

?Was that who I thought it was??

?Yep, William the Bloody. I know he was defenseless, but what he did wasinexcusable. He?s not going to betray anyone anymore.?

When noon came, the gang, minus Tara, gathered at Giles? apartment. Willow and Buffy explained Tara?s revelation to the others. ?Then she said?You all have miles to go on your journey? and to trust each other andwe?d be fine. And then she just kind of disappeared.?

?Wait, remember last year after I was in the coma from healing Angel? I saw Faith in my dream and she said all most exactly the same thing. Something about ?Miles to go, little miss Muffet, counting down from seven three oh.? do you think the two could be related, and if so, what does it mean??

?Perhaps, but it could mean anything, we need to focus on the task at hand.? Giles, still a bit groggy, tried to direct the conversation towards the more evitable doom.

?There are 730 days in two years, maybe something is going to happen about a year from now that has to do with this next big bad.? Xander offered

?Giles is right. Spike stopped by the dorm. I arrived just in time to see Buffy stake him. Something has to be up if he was willing to come out in the daylight to check up on things.?

?Yes quite. What do we know about Adam so far?? Giles asked, happy Willow agreed with him.

?Well, he?s got a nearly infinite uranium power source. A simple stakethrough the heart won?t do him in. I could probably rip it out, but notwith him fighting back.?

?I know I?m grasping here, but what if I could come up with a uranium extracting spell?? Willow asked.

?I know of a paralyzing spell, but I can?t perform it. I know the Sumerian needed, but it requires a practicing witch.?

?Hey, all we need is combo-Buffy. Her with her strength, Giles' multi-lingual know-how, and Willow's witchy power." After he spoke, Xander waited for everyone to tell him how stupid the idea was.

?That might work. A combining spell. We each give our abilities to Buffy for her to use in her fight with Adam. ?

?Then Buffy could cast the paralyzing spell and pull out his batteries.?

?Yes precisely. I have everything needed here, we can go whenever you?re all ready.?

Shortly there after, the gang was gathered at Lowell House. ?Everybody ready?? Buffy asked. Seeing that they were all as ready as they were ever going to be, she kicked the mirror in that held the secret entrance to the Initiative?s headquarters. As they descended down the elevator shaft, Buffy turned her head toward her redheaded lover. ?I just want you to know, no matter what happens, I love you more than anything, more than I everloved Angel. I?ll be doing everything in my power to ensure that we will be together tonight, and every night after.?

?Oh Buffy, I love you too! You better come back to me. Losing you wouldbe harder than losing Oz was. I know you don?t want to put me through that.? She moved over to hug the slayer, and the two started to fall further down the shaft. When they landed, they hugged again, knowing no wordswere needed. When Xander caught up to them, they pulled him into the hug as well.

?Xander, we love you, promise that no matter what you?ll always be our friend?? Buffy asked the dark haired young man

?We?re all going to die aren?t we?? He quipped.

?No, we just missed you.? Willow told her life long friend

?Hey Giles, hurry up and get down here, you won?t want to miss this!?Xander informed the Brit.

When Giles joined them, they set to work on opening the sliding doors. When they opened, the gang was faced with soldiers pointing weapons at them.

In the command center, Colonel McNamara started questioning them. ?Let?s see what you anarchists tried to smuggle in here.? he said as he pulled out a large gourd. ?What kind of freaks are you people??

?It?s a magic gourd.? Giles offered, just as sirens began going off. 

?What the hell is going on?? the Colonel demanded. 

?Sir, all the demons are loose.?

?ALL OF THEM? You two, watch them, everyone else, we have to secure the base.?

After McNamara and the others left, Buffy was able to take out the two soldiers guarding them. Willow hacked into a computer and was able to pull up what seemed like the most logical place for the lab. When they got there, they barricaded themselves in. ?This place going to be suitable to do the spell?? Buffy asked.

?It?ll have to do. The spell will take some time to perform, but the effect should be immediate.?

?Ok then, I should get going.?

?Buff, I don?t like the thought of you going in there alone.? Xandertried to caution his friend.

?I won?t be.?

When Buffy made it to the lab, she found Riley strapped down. She made herway to his side to try and free him. ?Riley, are you ok? This isn?t the best time, but as soon as we get out of here, we need to talk. Right now I need your help in taking down Adam.? She gave her ex-boyfriend timeto talk, but he did not respond. ?Riley, say something?? Buffy begged.

?He can?t. He isn?t programmed to. He?s part of the final phase, as you are to be. Take care of her.?

?I thought you?d never ask.? The demon that had once been Forrest said. He attacked Buffy. As he sat by and watched the fight, Riley was ableto remove his chip with a shard of glass. He rushed in to help Buffy whenit seemed that Forest nearly had her down for the count.

?Well, look who came in off the bench.? Forrest said as Riley attackedhim. ?I?ll kill you while your little girlfriend watches.? He attacked Riley, taking advantage of his open wound to do even more damage. Buffy was able to use this in her favor, and grabbed Forrest?s core out of him. Buffy knelt down beside Riley to check on him.

?I?m not going to make it, Buffy. I know you love Willow, and you?rewith her now. That?s what you wanted to talk to me about isn?t it? I?m ok with it. Never let her go. I?m just glad I was able to spend what little time I did with you.? When he finished speaking, Buffy could sense the life leaving his body.

?Looks like it?s just you and me now.? Adam said as he watched the scene unfold.

?No, it?s not? Buffy said when she felt the spell take effect. She turned to face him

He lunged out with a volley of punches and kicks that Uber-Buffy was able successfully dodge. For the first time, there was a look of fear on Adam?s face 

Uber-Buffy began the paralyzing spell. Once completed, she was able to thrust her hand into Adam?s body and remove his power core much the same wayshe did to Forrest. When Adam collapsed dead on the floor, Buffy felt theothers? essences drain out of her. She made her way back to where they were to find them recovering from the effects of the spell. As best they could, they made their way out of the Initiative amidst the battle that was still raging between the demons and soldiers. Once they emerged in the woods, they took the time to rejoice in their victory. Xander and Giles stood by and watched as Willow and Buffy kissed, a kiss to insure each other that they were alive and well, and would be together for the rest of their lives. Unbeknownst to the girls, Giles and Xander caught a glimpse of a smiling goddess, proud of what her mortal friends had accomplished.

When they broke the kiss, Buffy asked ?Anyone up for a night of movies atmy place??
