Re: Thoughts on 'Selfless'
re:various people on who has and hasn't killed people.
Buffy has killed several people in combat that she didn't need to kill.
Most notably the Grulenstahler brothers in "Homecoming" (just toss the
tracer into a corner, and when they close in on it, bonk them from
behind! Use the pole Cordy kayoed you with in "Bad Eggs", for example)
and the Knights in "Spiral" (she already defeated three of their best,
simultaneously, while unarmed, in "Checkpoint", and now she has to axe
them in the chest because she can't toss them off of a Winnebago? Not
buying it), but it's never been portrayed as anything but self-defense,
so that's just sloppy writing.
People argue that Buffy tried to murder Faith in "Graduation Day, Part
1" but I'd debate that and it didn't happen (or even reach the critical
moment), so let's move on.
Either Xander or Dawn killed several people by summoning Sweet in "Once
More, With Feeling". Forgiveable for Dawn (since she's young and
stupid), not really for Xander, especially in light of his history.
(Hence my fanwanking.)
Basically, we have three murderers, two grey areas, and one innocent
(and I'm claiming it's Xander) in the cast. Not pleasant, when you
think of it. Remember when Cordelia was the most unpleasant person on
the show, and that was just her being bitchy?
